Is this a completely new airframe or is it just a modified Richmodels Long-ez 2400??
Been meaning to do a richmodels conversion to turbine ever since I saw the rocker racing league jets.

How much is this kit?

Any help or info appreciated because this will be my next turbine model.
If you type long-ez turbine into youtube it will come up with a number of other versions.

Having said that this one looks a little better with the centre line tanks and inlet vents.

This is a modified model. Didier Pasquet improved a lot of things like : canards, air brake, gear, inlet vents etc...
Wingspan : 2m40
Lenght : 1m50
Weight (With Merlin 90) : 7,5kg !
Prices : With central line tank, front retractable gear with break, air brake : 850 Euros
Same without central line tank : 770 Euros
I've seen the first flights and it's really a good model to start. It can fly slowly and landings are just amazing.
It will be my next jet, just to have a "sunday flyer"....
Regards
Loïc

Yes Sandor your right : it's cheaper in China (everything is cheaper in China....).
Just add freight cost (big big box, nearly the price of the kit), customs, landing gear, fuel tank, small accesories to change...
I've already made my own calculation..

Nice job. I've had the same idea for a few years.

Check out the Berkut Jet (http://www.x-jets.com/burkut_jet.html). Retracts would clean up the LongEZ a lot, and the speed brakes...too cool. FWIW.

Woody.

I had a Long EZ 160 - piece of crap it was. Had to put 5 pounds of weight in the nose - one semi-hard landing, and the nose gear would be pushed up into the fuse 'cause the framing was cheap balsa. I'd love have this beefed up turbine version over the poor constructed glow version...

Sandor

Thanks for that link, but I can't read German []

What turbine are they using?

The bird looks just like the one I had - I don't see any built up structure. Nonetheless, I'd like to do it again but as a turbine...

Thanks...

Mr DJ
