I have a new boomerang jet, sprint model and was curious what other people were using for retracts? without spending 900.00 on the dreamworks ones?? Thanks Jeff

you get what you pay for when it comes to retracts/wheels/brakes. Todd's gear is second to none and after you get it and see the perfect fit, you'll never question the cost of it again.

I second that. I have Todd's gear on all my Boomer products.

What ever you do, Stay away from Spring down retracts. Just stay away. Period. They are NOT suited for high speed jets.
You can get them to work on the bench. butttt.... Watch for "paper back addition" of all of the rest of the problems.

Here is a bit of savings... Call Monica. http://www.camlex-rc.com/jet1a/completesets/index.html

I have approx 38 flights on my Boomerang Intro using Spring Air and not one malfunction in the air or on ground test.

any pneumatic retract can be fitted to spring down, all you have to do is add the spring to the air cylinder, just because it's spring down doesn't make them not suited for jets. if they are of adequate size and weight rating they are more then acceptable.

Jeff,
Our Boomerang sprint package is 825.00 complete. This includes EVERYTHING required to install the undercarriage and brake system in your new Sprint. If you where to add up all the components separately by other manufactures I think you will see that this package cost is actually comparable in price with far better quality and performance!

I thank you for the response and I am definatly one that would spend more to get it right the first time I just wanted to see what options I have. I will most likey go with the dreamworks ones but it will be a few months. Thanks Jeff M
