Default What Happened to Trim Aircraft Wheels & Brakes?

What happened to Trim??? They were fantastic wheels & brakes at a decent price. Anyone know if they are history or what?

Thanks.

Great Northern Models has them... Here's a link to the wheels/brakes page... http://s43500.sites99.storefront-hos...?categoryid=34

Any problems with tires coming off the rims like Intairco?

I never had any issues like that, but perhaps I did not spin them fast enough. I flew them for years on a Hotspot and two Isobars. Never a problem.

They are great brakes but I did hear that they were supposed to pay BVM some sort of royalty because they were almost the same design.

Yeah, it appeared to me to be a copy of the BVM design.

It's a good design to copy, I've been making them for about a week down here, I do intend to pay the royalty though. I don't know if Trim did or didn't.

Sean, , ,

How did it go with the O ring?
Is it the one with the flat on it?

I found this small vulcanizer and thought you might be interested in it.

Just have to make the die.

John,
The web site does appear to be down. I just talk to someone there last week. I wanted to order a set of wheels and brakes from them. He returned my call a few days later.. Sorry no phone number...[]

Yes, we're moving our server and it's taking longer than anticipated so the website's down in the interim but we're open for business. We have stock on every size except 83mm at the moment. You can e-mail direct to [email protected] or call Ed at 905-320-7979. I'll be down at Florida Jets (no booth, just spectating) Thursday to Sunday so it might take a bit of extra time to reply until I'm back Sunday.

Is Great Northern Models still in business? I ordered a set of Trim brakes from them 3 1/2 weeks ago and have not heard anything since. I have tried leaving them voicemail but no one has returned my calls. I also tried email but nothing so far...If they are still in business they won't be for long if this the best they can do. I can't even get in touch with them to tell them never mind!

Besides Aeroloft, does anyone else sell Trim Brake sets? -Tom

Thanks for the reply, sounds like i'm not the first customer left hanging...that makes me feel a little better but I certainly don't remember reading anything on their website stating they will ship their products when they "get around to it"

I'll bet if Todd were to receive enough interest he would stock them
