OK guys I just got my CG to be 25 mm forward of the front main spar but now I have another issue my nose gear is collapsing completely practically my nose of the airplane is touching the ground how can I get the nose Strut to be more stiff. Levi can you please check the picture and tell me if my CG is good

Nick your cg is ok. Mine is 5 mil further back but yours should be ok for maiden. I had the same issue with my nose leg. If you try to fly it like that TO will be ok as the weight is at the rear but it will collapse on landing. With the Mig 29 there is a massive amount of weight on the nose leg as it’s very far back. Is your strut compressing or is the leg actually retracting on its own?
i pulled my strut apart and added some tygon inside the spring to stiffen it up. If the leg itself is starting to fold back I’m guessing you must only have one ram on the nose gear. Mine would not work with just the one ram. I needed the upper and lower rams to have enough holding and retraction power, as did Graig.
Dont fly it if it’s borderline mate.
PS You weight is on the heavy side of ok. Mine is 24.5kg dry with all the options.

the later version of the nose gear had a modified upper frame that allowed for connection of a separate hydraulic ram that ran along the floor of the fuse under the cockpit area. If you look carefully at my fit out picture you may see it. Levi and I are using both rams on our nose legs. That is why our nose legs move with authority (check out my vid above). The upper ram has better geometry for fully retracting the nose gear; the original scale ram that attaches to the front of the nose leg has better power for holding the nose leg in the down position.
I inserted a delrin spacer inside my nose leg to compress the spring inside the strut. This made it feel stiffer and also limited the compression that could take place by providing a hard stop that limited the compression. Levi stiffened his nose leg up by putting tygon fuel tubing inside his spring.
Hope that helps.

Thank you Craig are you referring to two different cylinders I have the big one the main one which is a lucking type in there,I cannot see where you have install the second one in your picture .

the cylinder is housed within the wooden box in the centre of the picture....do you have that cylinder?

Yeah ok, that ram does not lock the nose gear in the down position very well. It is good on the retraction end but not so great on the down lock end. We are also using the scale cylinder that runs down to the front of the nose leg that you can see in my youtube vid posted above....that one really helps lock the nose leg in the down position well....better geometry than the top ram. Are you using that ram?

Let us know how you get on.
