I agree with Craig, you need 10 bar , 150 psi. Mine does work well at that pressure. Make sure, though, you use the Festo high pressure tubing.
Make sure you retract the gear in straight flight before the speed builds up too much. Retraction during a turn has a G effect and will slow or prevent full retraction.
I will also add that I added a duplicate line on the pressure UP line as PH suggested volume is almost as important as pressure.

Finally we Jim Hiller and I flew the Mig 29 I was scared in the beginning but after I took over it seems like it flies like a trainer very stable aircraft I’m still having couple issues with the hydraulic system but I will try to fix it here’s a link.https://youtu.be/3mJ4oNwBRMQ

66.5 lbs. wet and I am running two 140 G kingtech , and I get good six minutes of flight.
How is your SU 35 ? I am going to paint mine this winter and put two P160s jetcats for power.

But my love is for the su37 vector-thrust version . With scale nozzles not the ugly-look vector systems we have.
The last year i made a spot welder and having loads of test flights. Problem is cooling...after flat spins and cobras in low speeds, rear fuselage gets too hot
I dont care if ill burn it to the ground , i want the su37 version or nothing
The last 5 months i came up with a design of a flexible secondary cooling wall and the problem disappeared .Like a standard double wall pipes but with the last part moving.
Im waiting a higher grade stainless steel to arrive to make the final design and keep on testing ...
Once i have news ill post them in my thread..

I had originally fitted jr 6301 servos then tried the futaba bls 177’s. The 177’s blew the jr’s away wrt centering and tightness in the gear train so I stuck with them. I am a long time jr user but the futaba servos seemed far superior. I have also heard that a 75 kg futaba is on its way. Would be a great option. My whole mig is now fitted out with Robbe futaba sbus setup and a mix of futaba 177’s on the tail and 8911’s in the wings, KST x10s on the rudders. Still finishing the final fitout but I am loving this thing! Major engineering exercise but if you live that sort of thing as I do then it is very rewarding as you know. Will check out your pics.

I sold it to Mark F. from CompARF when I moved to Germany. Nice guy.
You have to shim the main mounts to get the correct scale verticle alignment and adjust the scissors so the doors close all the way!
You can see my images early in this thread.
I think twin P100-130 would be perfect these days. Saves weight and less wear on your Migs. Don't use heavy cockpit kits either may help.

I have just spent a couple of days going over my Mig ready to fly this weekend, sadly now cancelled. due CV restrictions.
A few points:
A few rivets holding the jetpipe to the bellmouth were coming loose. Unlikely to fail completely but ........ ! Take a look guys.
The wheelbrakes on this model have always been poor. Has anyone redesigned the wheel/brake assembly?
The Festo pilot valve, recommended to me by Shane Harding , have proven 100 % effective. Model stood on its legs for 6 months, no sagging !
Hydraulic system now running at 12 bar, working perfectly.
My jet has now been tarted up, burnt nozzles, cockpit and pilot, IR detector etc but still a way to go To begin to match Levi’s superb effort.
Had a close look at real SU 27 in Moscow recently, god its ugly compared with the 29 of which a number are on public display there, all looking very tired and neglected. The SU looks like a Mig which has been on a starvation diet.
Really looking forward to flying the jet. again, twin JetCat 140s, Futaba servos,, HPS a700 s installed ( thanks for the tip Craig) perfect !

Hello friends
Well my kit is up on its gear...yea. However the person I got her from had misplaced the nose cone. Does anyone out there have a damaged bird they are not going to fix or a extra nose cone laying about that you can part with.

Hello guys I have been flying mine and I can tell you that this is the best and easy jet that I have flown so far.
but if you wanna design And make a mold you should consider the SU 57 at a 1/6 scale .
just an idea and I know it will fly off the shelf.

Finally ready for maiden!
20 years have gone by since kit #29 came into my possession. Still a few details are missing, but I am now ready for the maiden flight.

This jet is a complete doddle to fly, just so docile even with an engine out !
Mine is waiting for spring, sat on its gear all winter with NO sagging!

A delightful machine.
PS The hangars in the background are those at Abingdon. They are seen in some shots in “Masters of the Air “ where much of the film was shot.
