Jet Cat P120 SX's arrive!
The title pretty much sums it up really.
I will take some photos tonight when i am at home and in the workshop. Looks just like a 160 SX.
I will be installing this one in a new Skymaster L-39 that I just unpacked, it should be a good combo.
Regards Al

I got my P120sx today from Motors and Rotors, either for a Rookie or Harpoon vector equipped sports model as a winter hack for our grass flying site. The internal Kero will allow easier installation in either of these models.
I must admit the SX looks great with machined compressor, its free spinning too. Thrust is 28lb ish.
Ill take the front cover off later as I understood you could change the kero burner from there.

How it comes, complete as always!
Just had a chance to flick through the latest JetPower which has a Harpoon II review-that looks like the one to get.

The 120Sx is actually stated at 120 or 121 N thrust. JC say minimum 120N, though all turbines are showing good power a little above this. The ECU is set at 123,000 and 125,000 is user selectable giving a little over 123N
The Kero starter is NOT user serviceable (like the G Booster!) and would have to be returned. The factory do say that it's a different system to the old starter and stays cool after starting, so failures are rare.
It is possible to remove the blanking plug and go back to the old system for emergencies. You need an external kero plug and a link wire to connect to the front board.

Guys,
Does this mean we are going to see a massive price reduction and "once in a lifetime" deal on all your old stock of P120SE's?
Only joking......
best regards
Dave

The SE is finished, no more gas start 120 or 160 turbines.
The last batch of 120SE's was sold out very quickly, just sending a 120SX to Scotland Dave.

I hope the internal kero plug lasts longer than the service interval or bearing change !

This is how I look it. Our regular glow plug from $5.00 to $10.00 and a lot of hours of flying time. If fail you just replace it at the field. Internal glow plug. Humm... may be more than the $169.00 regular KeroStart plug, plus we don't know yet if we are allow to replace it when fail. Nice move from JetCat to force us to pay more. Ahh. and no more SE versions, same thrust more expensive. This is going over than just a hobby. It's going to be even harder for those new jet flyiers to get in to this phase.
