RE: Boomerang Nano!!!
Anybody have stock gear that they'd be willing to part with. I'd like another set stock rear gear for the Nano. PM me if you have and willing to sell them.
I'm looking for the wood blocks and top cover plate for the wire legs that come with the kit.
Thx

RE: Boomerang Nano!!!
I have a spare K-80F and a budget for Boomerang Nano, or ... FALCON 120, but unfortunately not a SPRINT. Has anyone managed to convert a Nano for K-80?
I have a hope since people fit with succes P-80 [link]http://www.boomerangjets.com/images/p80.pdf[/link]. Maybe some trimming and glassing will do the work...

Agree with Bill, the nano is a wren44/P60 aeroplane the perfect model for you is Falcon 120/navycat/tornado fantastic flyer, easy to land and looks fast, unquestionable best all-round jet on a budget.

RE: Boomerang Nano!!!
I fly mine with a VT-80 and it fly's awesome, VT80 is lighter than the K80 though, closer to weight of the P60. Just pull it back on the down lines. Make's for spirited take offs.

RE: Boomerang Nano!!!
Thank you all for your replies!
K-80F
Diameter: 95.25mm ( 3-3/4" )
Length: 254mm ( 10" ) - including starter
Weight: 1304g ( 2 lb. 14oz. ) - including starter
P60-SE
Diameter: 83mm
Total length: 245mm
Weight: 845g including launch control
Size of P-60 that is extensively used in Nano, as we see in this thread, is similar to K-80. Wheight is different, the K-80 being almost 500gr heavier, same as P-80. CG might be an issue but I could move all batteries and UAT forward and use the fixed gear to save weight.
What mostly concerns me is K-80 mount size that seems to be much wider than the jetcat one
Can somebody provide me the dimensions A, B and C in the following picture
Xairflyer, which would you consider best as a lead in trainer for scale jets. Nano or Falcon 120?

RE: Boomerang Nano!!!
Not sure on the size of a P80 but I had a wren 54 in mine 90 mm casing and I had to take a fair bit of the engine bearers.
Great little plane with the wren wish I had kept it.

RE: Boomerang Nano!!!
You even have to mod the bearers of a Elan to make a P80 fit, way too big for a Nano.
Nano P60 is a great combo and it flys really well as do all Boomerangs, but to answer Borlex question I would go with the Falcon 120 it will give you more in regard to what you asked as it will fly fast if you want but also teach you about flying around the circuit slow.

RE: Boomerang Nano!!!
BaldEagel You are correct, thats why I had a hope, but K-80 mount seems to be veeeery wide.
Xairflyer I will study the Falcon 120 build again, my basic concern there is structure strength, but since others do it with success I 'll try too and fly it in a more conservative manner (I should do the same with a Nano/K-80 combination anyway).
Thank you all again
PS If anybody has done though please show us, just to know ...

RE: Boomerang Nano!!!
If you put the bigger motor in the nano, beef up the wing mount a little with a dowel, and some tristock at the glue points.. Use Hysol.. its back in the thread here on my yellow one..
A "bigblock" size P80/120, wren120....etc will not fit.. you need a "smallblock" motor ( Wren SS/100/Mk3, P70/60..etc)..

RE: Boomerang Nano!!!
I flew my "Smallblock" Wren (15Lbs) powered Nano again Wed. Since the weather was warm and not too windy, to use up the rest of my fuel. Almost 8 min and still had 1/2 a tank of fuel left. Great flying combo.
It is the one "Goose" is talking about.
