Jesus.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we need to take a knife to the nose, and pre fab something a little sleeker.

Why doesnt Alan shape the nose like the Elan? We should be moving forward with design not backward.

Peter

Maybe just me, but the booms look rather more chunky in the final ARTF, particularly the bit over the wing?

Still a fun looking model, and plan to have one as my first turbine with MW44 Gold..

All you are seeing in those pics are the parts straight out of the box, laid out on the ground. No canopy, no rudders, no spars through the wings and not assembled in any way.
Look at the colour scheme drawings............they are the true shape. Real photos will follow soon as I get my hands on the finished kits!

If you want pretty, go for it where you can find it.............if you want a great flying little jet for the MW44 and some fun flying... go for this one.

ugly little bugger
maybe its the angle of the camera, but this Nano dose not look like this one.[]
I suspect that the wing dowels are not installed. This would have the booms are resting on the ground level with the underside of the wing so that the wing looks low on the booms rather than being mid-mounted on them. Hence the booms look chunkier than they should

Colour scheme looks very nice.

I have a Five-Jet and the Nano you see in the pictures. The Five-jet is almost identical in size as the Nano and a lot sleeker but you had better have a 1,000 foot runway and a drag chute when you get ready to land.

They aren't the prettiest planes around, in fact, I call it the jet version of the "Ugly Stik" but you won't find two more versatile and easy to fly planes than those. If you want sleek and fast look at the Bobcat or the Five-Jet but if you want fun like Alan says the Boomerangs can't be beat.

Alan

I am not knocking the Nano, as I plan to have one myself. ( got a Wren 44 on the shelf). I am sure as it will fly great, as all your designs have done so far. I just would have liked the nose to be a little sleeker, as in the Elan.

There is probably a good reson for this?

Peter

Quoting Alan in post 119 "The kit comes with a fixed landing gear set (same as the Intro used to have) and simple wire pushrod set. Both Dreamworks and Digitech will be making custom retract sets which will be available days after the kits are released. "

Call Todd at dreamworks, I'm sure he had a kit from minute 1.

Hello Mr Freak

by the end of the week is a bit tight.
Fedex needs about 3 days to ship them.
also we pre sold about as much i can make for the next few weeks...it is not a big secret how they are made or measured.
as we made until now every retract for it and ours has always been a good fit , and not splitting bearers..
we have had a pre-sale on rcuniverse for a week or 2 now..

I took a Nano kit out of the box yesterday morning and four hours later here's the result. This "Navy" version is five and a half pounds exactly for the empty airframe.
Add the light retracts, turbine, radio etc. and it will come out at 12 lbs with the MW44 or 10 ounces heavier with the P60.

Alan I think there must be something wrong with the photo, or are you rearly as short and stubby as the Nano. LOL
