Who is the dealer for FeiBao now?
RBean2, Mike Lin owner of Global Jet Club is US contact for Fei Bao and also does a GREAT job of helping buyers communicate with Fei Bao should you need parts or have a concern. Mike is hands-on, friendly, and very competent and has a great support staff in Anaheim, California AND in China that oversee QC and give the plane a full look-over in their GJC China factory before shipping to clients. They also provide you with a discount to get the ARF-PRO so you actually save money buying more...I know that sounds weird, but its true.

I have a new Fei Bao 1/7 F15 -Israeli Camo scheme- that I just received 2-3 weeks ago. Just waiting on some minor build material to get to me so I can begin build. Even if Mike's QC team misses something, he is usually hard at work getting it for you the next day.

Cant say enough. Regardless, happy buying and flying.
Cheers

Am close to halfway done with build on this one. Pictures coming soon. Wings and stabs all done. Lighting kit installed as well. Now on to the airlines, retracts, and the fuselage!

Mick, do those drop tanks make a big difference in drag and speed during flight?

What valorous be a good gear valve / sequencer to get my gear down then bay doors close actn?

The 15 has 3 separate doors for mains and I think I want to have the 2 doors close after the gear drops.

Any feed back?

michaelsarysz,

you can install 3 double action Jet tronics valves and 1 Jet tronics sequencer to make this setup work, or you can use the mechanical UP valves (UP3 and UP2 or UP4 i am not quite sure) which will also give same result.

Hope this helps,

Thanks extra!

I went with the up 3 valve! Dors and gear work great!

Are you a single set up or twin?

If single set up, did you have to cut the intake cowling to fit the turbine? I have the mammoth and with the pipe from tam it is a bit far forward and hitting where the intake meets and goes into a single tube to ram air at the turbine. The starter is what hits.

We were thinking of cutting a hole in it so the starter motor can go forth about 1.5 - 2 inches. This should put it where it needs to sit.

Any pics from anyone who had this problem?

Thanks guys,

Mike

I maidened my Japanese coloured F15E, at Wroughton, yesterday. CG set at 240mm behind the leading edge, it is powered by two P120 engines and I was carrying fuel in the saddle tanks only (6lts). The model weighed in at 24.5kgs dry so is going through the mandatory large model scheme. It flew very easily and required no trimming. Landing was also very easy. The only problem was I could not retract the undercarriage. It works fine static. Has anyone had success with the twist and turn undercarriage using air? 2nd flight the nose wheel came off after lift off but I managed to land her without damage.

johnls,

Congratulations on your maiden!! Is your kit the Feibao or Fly Eagle F-15E? If it's the FB, are you using the upgraded main retracts and nose oleo?
Would love to see photos of your setup with 2 P-120s, this is exactly how i intend to build mine.
I might also be looking at converting my air retracts to electric including gear Doors, airbrake and canopy actuators...

It's FB. My U/C is the upgraded, with an aluminum shoulder to give more support to the mains. I also added a ply support, as recommended else where by Mick Burrell. I have used the standard exhausts and added bell mouths, and have not used the bypass because of the difficulty in getting it to fit. The nose is detachable and I am using S-bus with powerbox SRS.

Thanks for the photos. Do you think that ply block support is still required with the upgraded U/C? using S-bus is the way to gowith such an installation!!
