equipment tray looks good, but i think the festo fitting on the UAT might leak w/ the bend that close and tight to it and the pump.

It actually doesn't bend that much. I was going to leak test it fairly good to be sure though. I can always extend the line out and come back straight.

How do you work a start up without the small propane tank in the plane?

i just plug the external propane tank into a checkvalve festo thats installed before the gas valve. then turn on the external tank about a 1/8 of a turn and let the ECU do the rest.

Ok, so to understand this correctly.

1. you install the fill checkvalve directly to the gas solenoid instead of going to the small tank

2. You then turn the propane on 1/8 turn and let the ECU start the plane.

So I assume after the start you then turn off the propane and unplug from the checkvalve. How would that work if I'm using the Dreamworks powermax can adaptor. I don't think it has a turn you can do.

Thanks. I've got an email into Todd at Dreamworks and if I have to I'll email Eric at Jet Central as well. I can put the propane tank in the plane if I have to.

Wow........its been awhile since I worked on this plane. I had several things come up.

Built a 30% PAU Su-26 ARF and broke my 3W55 in for this plane.

My TF P-47 in Captured German Scheme that took me 2 yrs to complete

Then I recovered this 37% PAU Ultimate and got it ready to fly

Finally after 3+ yrs my 35% Aerotech Edge was repaired and flown from a prior crash.

The F-16 is back on the table and I'm itching to work on it.

Guys,

Asking for a friend..

What is a good choice for a nose steering servo for the JL F-16 1/8 ?

the Hitec 5245 doesnt seem to fit well (slightly too big).

Not sure. I need a servo for NWS as well. That is all I'm lacking in the build. I'd like to stay away from Hitec if possible but I don't want to spend $$ either. I may look into the HD servos

How are guys attaching the aileron servos? I thought about using Tams servo mounts epoxied on to the servo hatch covers.

I used Digital Thin Wing servos, flat mounted against the small access cover.

FalconWings,

That's what I have. How did you attach them?

Thanks

I used three small hardwood plates underneath each servo mount (3 total). The hardwood plates are then glued to the servo access cover, and use three small wood screws to fasten the servo to the plates on the cover. If Yyou use the new JR thin wing servo (higher torque!!) th hardwood plates would be slightly different, but the inent is the same. Servo stays witht he access cover.

I thought the mounts I got from Dreamworks were for the thinmount JR servos. As that is what I have. I have not installed them yet though.

My JR's have mounting tabs on all four corners so I think FalconWings way is what I'll do.

Yes, I see. I bought mine before those servos came out. You could cutoff tabs or go with falcons method.
