Default DL Aero MB 339 Aermacchi - ARF

Hey Guys,

Has anyone out there built and flown the DL MB339 Aermacchi that is going to be distributed by Cermark and Electro Dynamics as a DF/Turbine airframe?

If so, how was your experience with the kit, assembly and flight?

Thanks,

I have looked at one at our model expo, it looked neat, and good. Like to hear some real world turbine tests too!!

I have one on order from ElectroDymanics!! As soon as it comes in I am going to start working on it. Should be here in a few weeks. I could do a quick review if anyone is interested.

I can take pics but I have a very old Kodak DC-20 Digital camera

As for power, I already have a Ram 750/1000 in my Roo and I purchased a spare ECU from RCU So I might just use that. On the other hand it would be a PITA to move one turbine from plane to plane so I might just get a RAM 500X or maybe the new Mamba from SWB.

I work about 20 minutes from ElectroDynamics and know Andy pretty well. I have seen the pre-production protype in his shop ready to fly with a RAM 750 in it. I beleive that is how Andy flew it for all the tests flights.

I also have seen the first production protype but I beleive that this might be the same one that you have seen at the trade show.

I am very impressed with what I have seen so far! Great work for a real good price!

Further updates to come, once I get the kit....

How much is this kit selling for...Also, I am not sure if I understand who is distributing this kit. Sounds like Cermark is making it but who is distributing the kit? Thanks, Gary

gc,
Cermark will be producing the kits and AFAIK Electrodynamics and DL Aeromodels will be selling it. It's a steal for $998.00. IMHO the one from Andy (Electrodynamics) is the one to get because it comes with the TAM pipe!

I was very impressed when I seen it at Andy's shop. I can't wait to get mine

Default D+L MB-339

The D+L version comes with a universal bypass that will work with either the 500 size motor or any of the KJ-66 engines. Yves has been flying the prototype for 2yrs with a P-80 and Ram 500.

Vin...
