Default Is it ok too monokote wings and stabs on my renegade???

just wondering if anyone out there has done this on their jet rather than glassing?keeping in mind that the wing center section is heavily glassed & the stabs are lightly glassed already.I'm using a very unique color contrast and found the perfect monokote to use for the suraces and heard it will save some weight. My renegade has strong surfaces that are foam cored & sheeted, would monokote be ok to use on a 170-180 mph jet? I have heard of some guys using it on their jets but i'm just wondering at which point their should be a question on it,Ie: speed and certain jets? please let me know, thanks!!

Very light glass is used in order to lay down a good foundation for painting. It may add a little strength but if that's all that's keeping your airframe from an inflght failure you've got some structural issues ! The Monkote will be fine and a lot less work . I understand there are some fellows using it on Bobcats.

I used Monocote on my HotSpot that had over 400 flights.
Tony F used it on his Bobcat and seems like the perfect lightweight alternative.
