RE: F-16, 1/5 scale, Under Construction in Q8
Hi Marshad, very nice indeed and one of the best F16 models ever, very good scale lines and detail. I'm workin hard on mine as well, today fidling with the rear canopy frame. High quality canopy which is a shame to damage, always scarry work to get it right ha ha ha. I follow your built with great interest, I think mine is about the same stage as yours however I will add most plastic details later as I will test fly the bird in primer first. I spend about half a year in reproducing the scale gear using full size drawings, realy a mamoth task! It is made very lightweight and is about 1kg lighter compared to Marijn's version.
Below some pic's of my scalejets F16.
Very best regards,
Gerald

Hi Gerald
Thanks for these photos, your landing gear looks better than the original [sm=thumbs_up.gif] i really like it. Another thing don't underestimate the plastic parts, some parts needs concentration and good allocation. Please post more photos so we can share the experience of this kit.
Thanks again

For now I'm thinking to put 2 ex-large tank and 2 large, but still i don't know. I will test the operation of the landing gear with that combination and then i will decide if i need more or less.

Ok. I tested mine few weeks ago, mains only and no doors conected. Although my retraction actuator is smaller diameter of 30mm, the 0,5liter test bottle was empty after only 4 cycles. I think I will use 3 x 0,5liter minimum, possibly replace one with 1,0 liter. The large actuator makes it move very realistic and scale, even at low pressure of 2 bar it moves slow but smooth.
Here first retraction of mine a few weeks ago:

It is all looking very good. [sm=thumbs_up.gif] I am building a dual 1/5, still in plug form.
