Default Roo/ram500 Balance

Hello everyone, I am almost done with may ROO with a RAM500 on it.
I'm trying to do the CG on it as per instructions at 95mm infront of the tube front edge with empty tanks.
It balances slight nose heavy (upside down on a Great Planes CG Machine) with the ECU & RX battreies in the back almost parrallel to the turbine tail cone.
As I place it on the ground on it's wheels with that kind of balence, the nose will point up & the tail will hit the ground.
For you ROO/RAM500 flyeres, where did you place the ECU & RX battries for balence?
Thanks for any replys, MB

I have my reciever batteries in front of the former by the back of the fuel tank on the RH side.

ECU is oposite the reciever batteries, on the LH side.

My ECU battery is in back, behind the rear most former.
Thats behind the wing spar.

Balances on the front flange of the retracts.
I forget the dimension.

Flys great.

Sits on the tail too.

MB,
Yup, sounds just like my Roo with a Ram 750 on it. We balanced it like 5 times and it would just flop on it's tail when sitting on the ground with the tanks empty. Mine flies good at this position but I noticed on my last landing of the season I was coming in with nearly dry tanks and I did the famous Roo hop down the runway until I broke the wing. Almost back together but for this year I might take some weight out of the tail and see how I like it them.

In the air it flew like a dream, 1/16 up reflex on the eleavons and it was perfect. Takeoffs were good once I get the steering travel set right (had too little on one TO and almost kissed a landing light )
Make sure you have no slop in the nose gear and use a gyro on steering only and you will have a very nice flying Roo!

This is typical for the balance point on the roo, I have mine set about 1/4 in forward of the recommended location and it seems to fly a little better (dosent tuck the nose in the turns) and is easier to land. Should JUST sit on all wheels with main tanks empty. I have also flown it with the CG about an inch forward and it flys fine but comes in a little hot.

I was thinking, if the mains were set about 1 or 2" back we would not have this problem.
But it came disign like this & it's to late to do enything about it. Unless I tear it up & re-do the mains.
But I'm going to give it a try like this.
Wish me luck on my 1st Flight!
