Default Tamjets twin electric power Super Hornet

I know this is crazy idea to build expensive twin EDF Super Hornet.
But you know what. Is a hobby and I love what I do.
Here is my modify turbine Super Hornet convert to twin TJ100 eletric fan.
It weight total 35 lbs with batteries. Which is weight about the same as turbine version dry.
The different is the flying weight is very light wing loading. No fuel onboard.
Later I might get little crazy to install twin P-60SE.

This Hornet had done some minor modification for rotation gear. Once I done all the testing. I might had new light weight version Hornet back in productions.
But no promise. Let see how many guys still had some cash left to spend this year.[:@]

Schedule to maiden her this Sunday or Monday afternoon.
Too bad Russ can't video. I had to do the video and let Rev. Russ pop the cherry.

I guess so..
So far all the conversion I did is success..Turbine or EDF. Failure is not an option.[sm=teeth_smile.gif]

Hi Tam,

Send me one more TJ100, I want to convert my F15s to EDF. I will send you more EDF planes or T-shirts. They're all made in China and they are not cheap any more.

Hi Tam,

I love the weathering your builder does on the kits...very realistic!

Craig.

Agreed !

Some of the ARFs I've seen that come 'pre-weathered' have all weathering exceptionally dark, and it seems to be on every square inch of the aircraft.
In contrast, Hieu (sp ?) really knows his stuff - he uses the correct colors often with just a faint hint, and most importantly he doesn't overdo it.

If anyone had told me a year or two ago that I'd see an EDF powered Tamjets F18, I'd have thought they were nuts. The EDF stuff really is making enormous progress. Looking forward to seeing some video of this beast fly.

Mike,
If can affort everything made in the US. I do it. So far keeping my staffs busy with most of my stuff done here.
The A-4 kit I send you was assembly here in my shop. You will notice the quality is different ARF's kit done in china.
I got few rotors balance lastnight. I'll get you another TJ100 done soon.

Craig,
Thanks.
There is many ARF's Hornet out there.
But Hieu paint job make our Hornet look realistic and stand out from the rest.
You got what you paid for right?
I'm paying Hieu by the hours to work on my Hornet.
The labor cost I can buy almost 2 complete ARF's Hornet done in china.
But I can't get the craftmanship Hieu do. Hieu been a modeler and had 20 years experience painting.
Some of his War Bird done pretty nice and he built from plan.

Gordon,
I'll give you the call when I'm going for the maiden.

Nick,
I'll get pictures and maiden video.

Hell Tam, She looks nice.

I'm still hacking away with my Mig-29, but that should weigh in at less than 20 lbs all up on a pair of your Fans.

Get some video of the Maiden for us.

Man, if the YA Twin F-18 flew with two Dynamax, I'm sure Tam's should do awesome with two TJ-100's.

Excellent project Tam!

I've been dreaming of doing a twin EDF for a while now.

Hopefully Tam's jet will inspire me some more

Hey Tam! Great job, the hornet looks great. I am with the others and a big fan of Hui's weathering skills.
Does the fact that the hornet is twin edf mean you will be able to clear twice the amount of fallen leaves from you drive way in the same time now
Regards Al
