Just a heads up
Apparently music companies are now going through our videos posted on youtube
Even though the videos are not for profit, they want music removed.
I got an email that Warner Music had my audio track removed from a jet video this morning

That had to be coming. I went on line the other day looking for a song, went to youtube, and I listened to my favorite song sang by 200 different people, in a continuous stream, it was pretty fun. Whenever you want to hear a song, try youtube, you might even get the original artist live.

Same thing happened to me with my Bandit vid set to Paradise City. This fall, I received an email from YouTube stating that Guns N Roses apparently complained. The Bandit had a sudden encounter with the runway at Buttonwillow in May so I changed the soundtrack to one of the list of "allowed" songs on YouTube. I chose Crash and Burn which seemed appropriate.

Well,
at least now we might be able to actually hear the ambient sounds of the planes during the videos instead of someones "wanna-be editor" clips.
Someone posts a video clip and states "COOL CRASH VIDEO...CHECK IT OUT! and all you hear is crap grunge or goth music in the background drowning out the rest of the video.
But then again,
I think that the music industry should shove it where the sun dont shine with respect to the R/C videos that people are posting. I mean come on. Like I'm gonna download a video on youtube, cut the crappy sounding audio track from it, and then convert it to an MP3 file so I can enjoy choppy, poorlly edited and lower quality sound on my MP3 player... especially when I can download a CD quality version of it elsewhere online. This is just like the stupid lawyers for Lockheed and the other aerospace companies trying to get royalties. They need to take a long walk on a short pier over shark infested water.
Nothin' but love though.

I loved the background music in Pauls videos, I have all three looped that play in my shop when working, it keeps me motivated. Funny I looked into who did some of the songs, the first part of 08, has a track by Saliva. I like it in the video but when I listened to some of there other stuff, no thanks.
yanking audio off of youtube videos seems a little harsh but it was bound to happen sooner or later. [X(]

This is another example of why the music industry is failing. They are too prehistoric to realize that the music in these videos can actually help the artist as it provides exposure. Morons.

I noticed that "don't use copyrighted material" notice on you tube when I posted my vids, and fully expected to hear something about it, but never did......I guess I can expect an email soon. The last few I made were just ambient sounds anyways...getting too lazy for creative editing in tune to the music...which doesn't play at the same speed after you upload it anyways.......
