mpx make some great stuff, the programming that goes into their tx's is really good, but why why why don't they do anything with the aesthetics????????? they look like a cheap fisher price toy. Their market share would be so much bigger if they actually looked half decent.

Well not to be rude but i like there look as they look different from all the Japanese radios plus to me more important is the vast variety of features that MPX offers vs other brands!. I have Royal Evo 9 and i'm very happy with it, mind you there still so many other neat features that i have no clue about. Now only if MPX can come out with 2.4Ghz modules for Royal Evo series, i would love to convert mine before 09 flying season starts and not worry about getting hit at RC events...

Cool it has a feedback chanel for telemetry data.

But yes, the tx`s look like crap

I have the little cockpit MM V1 radio, I use for all my small stuff, and it has been absolutly fantastic.
Easy to program, light weight....could not ask for more..other than the looks

I agree they look like crap, but more importantly to me is that the ones I have had my hands on FEEL like crap. I can put up with something that doesn't look that great, if it handles well. The problem for me is that they are designed with practically everything crammed into the faceplate instead of being suitably spread around the top, sides, etc of the radio.

I prefer not having to let go of the primary controls (sticks) in order to reach & operate most of the extra channels, switches etc. With thumb & forefinger on the sticks of my JR radios I can reach most of the ancillary controls on top & sides of the radio with my other fingers without having to let go. (The rotary controls on the top middle of the 10X being an exception). With the MPX stuff I've played with, cramming all sorts of controls onto the MIDDLE of the faceplate means that I have to let go of the sticks for all sorts of control activation.

Pity really - MPX has always had some of the best programming and coolest features on the planet - but when I have to choose between programability (which I only have to fart around with ocassionally) and ease of use (which affects me every time I flly) then my less capable JR wins.

YMMV, which is fine.

Hi Gordon

I fly with a tray so I don't have any problems with the lay out , I no a few that had the same problems as you put now they love it,
it is just a matter of getting used to it ,I have tryed hand held tranys and did not like them so every one to there own like you with your JR I would not change from my MC 4000 it must still be one of the most flexible transmiters out there and now with the 2.4 and
16 chanels it is going to be hard to match.

I have Royal Evo 9 and i'm very happy with it
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
the brand name MULTIPLEX for 50 years has stood for high quality, innovative radio-gear for model purposes. Quality,
reliability and functionality were and still are MULTIPLEX standards.
As a result of this philosophy and in conjunction with our quality control management, it has been found that several
transmitters in the ROYALevo and COCKPIT SX series have suffered severe failures when being operated under
unfavourable conditions, and these failures were caused by a few components being of unreliable quality.
This could, in rare and extreme cases, result in a total functionality loss of the transmitter and therefore a loss of
control of the model (aircraft).
Effected are ROYAL evo and COCKPIT SX radios which were delivered or bought between 01.01.2007 and mid of
May 2008.
Not affected are radios which were delivered since end of May 2008. These radios are marked „MPX 08/05“ (Year/Month).

! Due to safety reasons, we have decided to ask you to return the radios immediately, directly to Germany, so they
can be checked and overhauled. Please do not use them until they have been overhauled.
We will return your radio as soon as possible. For your shipping cost we add a compensation to the package (domestic: 1
servo Nano-S, foreign: 2 servos Nano-S). Parcels without postage paid can’t be accepted.
To identify the radios on arrival to receive preferential service and overhaul please mark your parcel with
„ RECALL ROYAL evo /COCKPIT SX “ and use the following address:

MULTIPLEX Service
Recall Cockpit SX
Recall ROYALevo
Westliche Gewerbestraße 1
D-75015 Bretten-Gölshausen
GERMANY

As compensation for all the trouble we will perform a free service check (worth 40,- €) for all radios which are sent in to be
overhauled. We thank you for your understanding with this issue.

Enquiries please send to: [email protected]
Best regards

(hardware not available or approved in Canada or U.S.A. either)

Good luck with that.

If you want the best buy Weatronic dual FHSS, although it may be a bit pricey for your taste.

Two transmitters, two receivers.

MPX uses two RX's FHSS in one case plus you can add more for diversity.
I love my Evo [8D]
