gjhinshaw..... Gerry Hinshaw thats (Gary) This is the Troy Built Models DV8R 2nd prototype. Wing moved back 2" and is a 2-piece wing. Has Artes Super Eagle for power.

I have just met with Anton Lin (left) and Likai (right) here in Taipei, Taiwan.
Thank you gentlemen for the very warm welcome and hospitality, much appreciated.
The photo was taken at their famous field where they test and fly their jets ; we arrived just before sunset but the site was litterally crowded by RC pilots.
Never seen any place where the hobby is so much a part of the city's recreational activities.
Needless to say how impressed I also am by the exceptional engineering skills of Likai (we visited his house and workshop), and if you'd ask me... I look forward to the release of their first SkyMaster Harrier !

I've been interested in aircraft for as long as I can remember....Here is a shot from Christmas morning circa 1971...I was about 8 years old...Plane was an electric stunt plane that flew tethered to a cable that you flew from a controller box...Not around you like a Stanzel Monoline...

This pic is from about 1977....15 years old....I was showing my uncle Jimmy my latest control line bird...A TopFlite Tutor....This is the same uncle that didn't understand that these things fly in a circle...(He never saw one fly before)...After he let go of my plane on takeoff he just stood there-Until the plane made a full circle...He started to run but it was too late...The plane hit him square in the back!!!....Luckily, he had enough clothing on to keep from getting hurt...Every time we got together we laughed about it until he passed in the mid eighties...Although he is gone I still get a chuckle out of it.......
