Hello Guys,
last days i have painted and mounted the scale flap hinges. Looks really good and is a nice scale detail more on my Hawk.
regards
Joerg

Well it finally flew today, two flights that went without hitch!
Many thanks to Dave Wilshere for taking the controls and for answering emails late last night! Have to finish painting fins and fences and wire up my NAV light system.
Also pic of Dave's Torus which was performing great!

Its always a great pleasure to maiden a model with zero issues. The conditions were not ideal today in NW london, but as always CARF's Hawk design coped easily with it and your attention to detail meant everything was spot on other than a few radio tweeks. P-120SX is the perfect power unit for this model, I'm looking forward to seeing your Hawk with the final details finished.

Thanks for that did not realise that you had taken them!
Many thanks to the Phoenix club for allowing me to use their great facilities! Reminds me of one of the model clubs I used to belong to in Australia!

The pilot just missed out on Saturday's maiden flight as he arrived at the post office as I was setting out to meet Dave at PMFC.
He now has the front seat! The pilot weighs 200g so some of the 160g of lead can come out of the nose now.
Plus a few pics of the inside.
Thanks to Phil at Fighter Aces!

RE: Comp ARF BAE Hawk build thread
Test flew mine this week. Flew just as advertised. No issues. C.G. set at 195mm and seems fairly nose heavy to me. Gonna move it back a little to see if it makes any difference. Otherwise basically built by the manual. Powered by a Wren 160 kero start. Plenty of power!
