Kenric

I used the MA USA (helicopter 0868-1) tail pushrod, but I'm sure there are other sources

Kenrico, I live in Livermore, CA, USA. There is a company here called Aerospace Composites that sells a huge selection of carbon fiber shapes and even CF and kevlar material and resins. They are hobby friendly so check them out, they may have what you need. http://www.acpsales.com/OnlineStore.php

Miniature Aircraft USA are now owned by Heli Wholesaler, but any MA dealer should keep the parts.

Another beautiful day for flying here in Tucson AZ,

I think it got to the low 70's.[8D]

Fireblades (Alan) Probe sure looks nice on the front of my Hawk.

Everyone comments on the presence it has in the air. Beautiful.

Alan told me that Marty has a probe coming also.

Marty, Alan did a beautiful job making the probe, your going to love it.

Stan
Is very nice probe but please tell me what is used for ? Taking in fuel maybe ? Air speed indicade ? or maybe tempature ? And why is it ankled sticking up in air not in plane in line with fuse ? Thank you for anser.

OMG! My Hawk is in the states, sorry to bother you all with that detail, but after 3mos+ I am pretty psyched! Here's hoping for a quick build...

I'd be psyched after waiting that long too. Which scheme did you order? Just wondering where you fly? My brother lives in San Ramon and if/when I visit I might like to check out some fields.

Think it is just the angle how the shot has been taken as the moulding sets the angle of the probe you cannot really fix at the wrong angle. Also it does not help with it being set high due to the nose landing light

The pic above in Fireblade's post is the color scheme I got. 2010 Display Scheme. Thanks Sharam! I saw one at BITW last fall and fell in love, it was time for a jet and that was the one. As for flying in the Bay area Afterburner just let us know when you visit, Mr Diaz has been showing me some jet friendly sites in the area, there are a few. One drawback here in Cali is the dry summers so some fields discourage or ban summer fun for fear of fire... So bring an EDF because we all know they don't crash and then burn! Look up Woodland/Davis RC club, an hour from San Ramon and they fly a lot of nice jets up there. I only live 20 min from SR, maybe you can help me build my Hawk if you get really bored... Sharam's field is nice, and close. If you are lucky you can fly with Tam!

Well spotted! Perhaps the ground crew should have been made to take the 'C' test

OH, you got me! Does this mean my paint job is "old hat" ? Nuts! The stepladder hanging is pretty funny too... Dude must have over G'd the thing So I received my Hawk today and I am so darned excited. If an adult ever wanted to know what Christmas felt like at age 7 I can describe the feeling! Much thanks to Mr Wilshere, Ali, et all for recommending this little jet, so excited to get on with it.

Thanks...you even spelt my name right Yeh, yeh I know its written along side my posts, but model magazines I have written articles for 20 years spell it different ways in the same issue

Its a great model, when you add the canopy loop and Tailor Made decal sheet it looks brilliant. Hawk kits now all have the bunny ears, this helps too. Not sure how many flights mine has, but lots and I still get a buzz out of the old girl. Using Robart cylinders on the doors and good quality air equipment and its been super reliable.

Looks like I'm getting one of these soon , think it will compliment my tutor .
So most seem happy with a 120 power plant has anyone tried the new B100 in it they claim 27lbs of push and a bit lighter

The stepladder should automatically retract when the canopy is shut. It may have been started without groundcrew assistance and you'd do well to see it from the cockpit. It's not a very technical system and there is no cockpit indication so the pilot probably didn't know anything about it until he landed.

I think it would fly fine on 27lbs thrust. Would be nice and light too with the BF100. I don't think P-120's really put out the 30lbs of blow they're rated at anyway. The test in the Jet mag. put's the P-120sx at 27lbs actual thrust. I can tell you that I can see a significant difference in performance in the Hawk when I swap my P-120sx out for my JC Cheetah. (31lbs)

Hei. One Hawk, one pilot and one camera :-) Lots of fun on the ice here in Lillehammer, Norway. My Hawk is now 3 years old and it still looks like new, not finished yet .. Ambitions, ambitions ..
Takeoff, throttle at about 50% with the G-booster 130.

Wish you all many hours of pleasant flying with your Hawks. A keeper!

Wow, just watching that I felt lonely. It must be tempting to just give some rudder and thrust and do donuts for a while?
