Our Club is offering custom-painted JL F4 ARF PRO version. They are all painted outside the molds. Let me know if you are interested in that instead of the glossy look.

Hi all...
There are three paint schemes now for this F-4
The two below and in a few weeks the T-bird scheme will also be available.
and white is an option.
The Thunderbird Scheme is going to be a new option.
Keep Flying!

I agree with you about the colour scheme, I have actually ordered the one they had on their web site which was a USAF colour scheme but to my surprise they sent this one instead.

I have asked them about other colour schemes but 'at the moment that's what we have in production' was the reply.

Any videos, or flight reports yet? The video on the JL site doesn't work.

Hi Guys,
yesterday just arrived our jetlegend F-4,but instead our is ARF.Very cool, nice and detailed plane to have in the hanger.Looks very robust, awesome landing gear. This one is a great model from jetlegend.

Sry for the qulity of the pics[],i will be uploading better one's in some time.Last picture shows the scheme of our F-4 taken from jetlegend.

I fancy a JL F4, but not to keen on the only paint job offered. Do they supply decals to make it more interesting, or better still offer alternative paint schemes?
Hello Jascat100,

yes it is a very gl scheme but some of it's colours arent much close to the real F-4E of Iranian Airforce.Yes it came with decals installed on it but i dont thing they are finished with monocote. All the schemes they have are the Iranian scheme,a white scheme so that u could do the scheme that u wish, the USAF scheme is still not in production.

Hi ianober,
yes i agree 100% with you.The paint is to glossy, needs to be more math and dark and the white has to be a bit yellowish. All war planes aren't glossy but dirty.

Just unpacked my JL Thunderbird F-4E. Here's some pics an hour after the truck pulled away. There are some easy to fix details which are off in the paint job, which if you aren't a T-bird kook or comparing side by side photos, they're not even noticeable. All-in-all I'm doin' the chicken dance as I don't have to paint (much)!!! Can't wait to get started with the build...hope to have her ready for Kentucky Jets. Will share a build thread with Duke once we get goin. Aloha,

Woody.

Hi Woody,

Very nice bird, I agree with you re scale and paint job as my IRIAF F-4 is the same.

One question, did you get the electronics cooling intake under the radome with your bird? I am still waiting for mine as it was missing in the kit.

Mario my kit did include the fiberglass duct extensions in the bag with the servo stuff. Guess the first few kits shipped didn't. JL is really good about spare parts and making things right though. Woody

Hi Dave, thanks, I did get the photos...sorry I didn't acknowledge but have been slammin' to get the jet ready for Kentucky. I had already put air cylinders on the outer doors...will see if they hold them shut in flight, but I've got the feeling that since the JL doors are much more robust than the SM's and should stay closed. Will find out in KY. Flight reports and a build thread with Duke after that.

She's got a Titan but will detune until I get a better feel for the pipe.

You flown yours? Aloha,

Woody.

Dave,

It's the Thunderbird scheme. Doesn't really matter because I hope in a few weeks to have it finished out in this scheme if everything goes according to plan. The feedback from Les was great. The combination of that and this color scheme were the deal sealers.
