Default Fly Eagle F14 soon on the way

Well it's official, I have one of the new FEJ F14's ordered up. FEJ will be doing extensive testing on the F14 and once all of their test flights are proven successful, myself and Stefan in Germany will be flight testing F14's. Once all of the systems, and flying characteristics are sorted out the F14's will be shipped to customers. Stefan and myself will be doing some real world testing of the jets to ensure there are no "bugs" left before customers receive them.
Before anyone asks, no, I am not a FEJ rep, I have agreed after working with them on the Liberty however to do a full structural analysis of the jet and flight test it here on the beautiful west coast in British Columbia. I'm not sure yet of the delivery date for my F14, but it is on the way.
As many of you know, I have supported FEJ through faith of their product, I have enough confidence in their product, and the work they have been doing to repair any previous problems on other jets to put 2 engines and radio gear into a complex airplane such as the F14. Once the jet arrives I will take pictures to put on RCU, and give my honest opinion of the aircraft.
I am very excited about this airplane, it will be powered with 2 Graupner G Booster 80's, more info to come.

Hi Christian, I'm sorry to hear you're still waiting, I don't know what the circumstances are, I'm disappointed that you used my thread where I'm excited about this though to air dirty laundry. I ordered the F14 agreeing to do testing on it, and knowing that there is not a set date for delivery yet, I'm willing to wait, I placed my order for the early special price, there hasn't been any date for delivery yet, but I have trust in them, I have lots of other stuff to fly so when it gets here it gets here. I want them to do as much testing as they need to so that I have confidence in the airframe once I start flying it myself. I've waited for many many months from bigger companies than FEJ for far more expensive airplanes in the past too...

Hi LGM
Sorry for that. I`m excited about the F-14 too, and has one reserved for me. If i want it now, thats another question.

I too have one on order and they told me 6 weeks. I am really looking forward to it and also your analysis LGM on it. I am putting 2 P-120se's in it. I'm looking forward to your "up front and honest" evaluation. I want it to be a success as well! I am also looking at their F-16 and F-15. They look like they are really up and coming with there product.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Ok, I have had a big F16 ordered since Oct. When do you seriously think you will get the production F14.

Congrats on the new jet when it gets there! I'm looking forward to the pictures and opinion as well.

One question though....
How come every picture they show of the plane is incomplete in some way? They apparently have a flying model, so why not post pictures of THAT airplane, instead of a "fresh out of the box "semi-build"?

Just an honest observation, but it just seems very odd to me.

Soon, "Chinese" soon. They told me 60 days on the F14, i think more like 160 days. My F-15 they said 6-8 weeks, got the first box today, only took 20! weeks!!! and the second box is coming next week. So that makes it 21 weeks instead of 6 or 8 weeks.

Hi Modelbau

There is no F14 wing issue, but we have using honeycomb materila on all of our F14 models now and do extra reinforcement on wings too.
Also, we do the wing loading test on each F14 wing now. See photo here

Thanks
James

Again, thanks for the reply.

Besides myself i have 2 more clients interested in this project, so 3 F14's in total. Of course the first thing to happened is the competition badmouthing a project that I am selling to a customer so the rumors begin. I need something concrete before we invest over 100K, after I get everything in Brazil.

So if ANYONE has ANY data on this issue please share with us.

Great LGM!  I can't wait.

I have the new version f-14, all honeycomb and it almost done. Hopefully, i will be ordering the turbines in the next few weeks.  I'm putting 2 k170 for power.  My mig 29 took 2months for FEJ to deliver, the exact time James told me.  My F-14 was sitting a James house when i ordered it and took 2 week for delivery.  I am very impressed with my F-14 and hopefully have the maiden in a few weeks.
