RE: Very happy to have the old RCU lay-out back !!!
If you'd ask me, the only thing I would change is to put the redirecting 'Forum Description' (= Turbine Clinic,...) to the BOTTOM of the page instead of the top, and make the advertisements a little bit smaller. For the rest, this is one of the most pleasant and dynamic websites on the internet....

Yes - this is the look of RCU.
The new look that was up looked cheap - like any of the generic template-based forum sites out there.
This works just fine. What's the need to fix it?

I logged on puked and left. besides ugly format it seemed to have lost a few days posts.
A little case of insomnia feels a little better now that RCU is back to form.

I think maybe some of the search features were improved on the experiemental version.
That would be a great benefit.

Guys...It appears that the new RCU launch didn't go as planned so the current style of RCU was reverted back...The RCU administrators want to go to the new format and appear to be heading in that direction whether we like it or not...I hate that they spent money on a new format only for us to absolutely HATE IT!!!!...Shame that they couldn't leave the current format in place and just fix the search function...

I had just come in from work and logged on but hadn't signed in and "BAM". This was around 6:00 PM EST and once the switch over happened, RCU was totally unusable for me. Everthing it seemed was screwed up. Glad RCU is back to it's old self...leave it!

I'm glad it's back too. It was tough to read, and it wouldn't see me as logged on after I did so.
I did notice I was a 5 Star "Super Contributor" though.
Thank you Marc & Nathan for bringing the old RCU back.[sm=thumbup.gif]

Try using our google search from our forum search page. it narrows results to rcu only. Search is TOUGH although goog makes it look easy. Believe me it isn't and for those who know what a single google query involves can appreciate this. We may be able to tweak our search a bit but it will never be google. Google is VERY active indexing RCU. They do over 100,000 pages EVERY DAY HERE so they keep up pretty well. If our native search does not work try the google search that is on OUR search page.
