The 727 is my all time fav airliner too!

I like your effort cept one thing...you HAVE to do someting with the nose gear door(s)....the "door" you have is, well...ugly.

Sorry, dont mean to harsh but it really takes away from your effort.

I have this same plane, built to the same stage. I am curious on how you plan to get the Falcon in the tail section, I am able to squeeze a Wren 54 SS back there, but everything else, just seemed to big. The nose gear door is a problem for usre, on mine it basically has become an obsession and looks like it going to be a series of four doors, two of which close after the gear is deployed.

There is not much in the way of instruction, but the glass parts are very good.

I am using the HAWE gear, very nice.

Keep us posted, I am anxious awaiting your results.

The front floodgates are installed in mechanical way and in turn to a secuenciador for the train and tapas of the same one,
If they need some picture here in especial, pues we are,
The airplane takes in the load floodgate as the origial, there I will place valves of having filled with JP1, air and other articles
Greetings and thank you for their good comments

Very nice project , and also in my opinion one of the coolest looking airliners.. My first flight ever was Buenos Aires - Porto Alegre in one of those in 1973, and one interesting feature in this plane was the tail stairs wich let you enter this plane without wating for the airport stair tractor. Of course, all this with one jet engine running right over your head! I was very, very young at that time but remember it like it was 5 minutes ago..

Saludos, Enrique

Is it not the one that D.B. hijacked then parachuted from somewhere over the Northwest beack in the 1970's?

Sure, I remember the Ezeiza Airport full of Aerolineas Argentinas aiplanes,,, in those times there was a open balcony to people hear the jets (also remember of the Caravelle a incredibly noisy French jet) and smell the jet fuel.. Also remember the pomelo juice, cafe con medialunas and bife de chorizo...[sm=thumbs_up.gif]

About the N29KA story, it is explained here.. amazing story. Thx for surfacing it, F-18DB.

fumus,
I have the project set aside, been working on other things, but I need to get back to it. The toughest thing to get right, besides the nose gear doors, was the horizontal stab (elevator) and it took me a while to get satisfied with the mechanism and trust that it would hold together. I am confident now that it will work. I have yet to construct the rounded underbelly where the mains will retract. I have a ton of documentation for the 727-100, and will probably replicate the Fed-Ex paint scheme since it is easy to see and is very recognizable.
Will try and get back to it soon and get some pics for you.

Carlos

I ended up with something similar, however I used a bellcrank about midway up the vertical stab, as suggested by Mr. Rauch. the horizontals then rotate in a pivot block and there is a small pushrod attached to the front of the stabs which move them up and down. The servo is low in the vertical stab and accessed thru a small panel there.
