RE: Futaba FASST 2.4 GHz HS is out !
I have a hanger 9 P47 150 size. put the plane together with one of my 7 channel 2.4 receivers. I added a smoke system. Put my 6014 FS receiver in the plane to use more channels and my retracts stopped working. I pluged all kinds of servos into that channel and they all worked. Pulled my hellcat wing down and pluged it into the retract channel it also has a JR 791 in it and it did not work. Put the 7 channel back in, changed the setting on my 10c radio and the retracts work again. I have a 3200 mah 4.8 SR battery pack in the plane. It appears to me that the JR 791 will not work with the faster 6014 FS receiver and if this is the case that means it will not work with the 8 channel receiver. Any body run into this yet?

The JR 791 will not work with either 6014 FS or HS you need one of these: EDC-4341B

Think yourself lucky that you don't have a JR 9303 Tx they keep switching themselves off, just like the Spektrum Rx's, seems to me don't use JR they are suspect.

Thanks it's been a rough day working on this issue no one at our local hobby store or the club has run into this yet. I guess as more of us switch over to 2.4 with the faster receivers this info will make it's way around. There is only a few of us warbird nuts compared to all the sport birbs in our club. Most everyone stays away from anything with retracts. I guess i'm asking for it but that's why i started flying, WW11 birds are my thing. I will pass this on to everyone around here for sure.
And agian thanks for all the info.....

For any concerns about battery cell failure or compatibility issues with servos, valves etc check this out.

Well got the buffer/amp and it worked great. Went back to the hobbie store and passed the info on, they had two other products and they asked me if I would try them out. One was made by FMA Direct (micro in line buffer) and the other was made by MPI MAXX (ext. with choke #3185) and both of them worked as well. The FMA unit had daul out puts right off the board for two servo's and sells for $15.99, the MPI unit was $12.00. Looks like there could be a few things out there that could fix this problem. Thanks for the help..

Interesting....the powerbox is ony rated to +55C.
When we had the reported issues of heat problems on the 14 rx at +70C.......
How many problems were due to the powerbox...not the rx?
Makes you wonder...
I dont use one myself, never had a heat issue with the 14 rx
Just a thought.
