Gearing the new F-18 up with batteries and a P-160SX today. Are the St Louis guys ready? Fast Bro.....................did you say you will be there Wednesday evening? We will be there Thursday morning.

Hi Guys
We are looking forward to seeing everyone again and i might add that the field is looking better than ever! we have a dedicated ground crew that keeps the field inawesome condition. I hope everyone can attend again & there is always room for additional pilots !

Man I wish I could be there with you guys.. Gateway Jets is one onf the funnest jet Rallies around. I will be there in spirit.. I have a Godspeed event here in Tulsa this weekend so I have to be here. I know you will burn plenty of jet fuel for me.. have fun !!

The weather gods appear to like the Gateway Jet weekend
After major stoms last night, today was fantastic. Temperatures in the 80's, low humidity and although windy, wind mostly down the runway.
Managed to burn 5 gallons of kero, 6 flights so not a bad day.
Weather for tomorrow and Saturday looks even better. winds less than 5.
Should be an awesome weekend for flying.
Damn, this is gonna be good........

Awesome Event this year and the weather was great!!! I managed to burn over 20 gallons of Kero this weekend and Fast Bro(Robert)burned near 25 or more!!!! Today (Sunday) I got 6 flights on my Cheetos Bandit, 4 flights on my Ultra Bandit and 2 flights on my new F-18 and 1 flight on my super fast electric HET F-16!(that may be a new record for me in one day)We were the last ones to leave the field again and it was a feeling fatigue butthat big smile on my face never deserted me. I'm going home with no repairs and ya just cant beat that!
I will get some pictures up throughout the week provided by Devi Salt. Thank youeveryone for coming and we look forward to next year!

Here is a video link from the St Louis Post Dispatch paper that they did on the Gateway Event Friday. This really brought ALOT of spectators out to thefield late Saturday afternoon and especially Sunday! Lance Cambell, Chuck ShullandRobert Kisner did a great job informing the VERY attractiveWoman doing the article.

The Event was very small but all the flying time you could ever ask for! This is the nicest field in theMidwest but you could say that I am bias

Ben Burden and his Son Jr. took home a "Special Recognition Award" for Juniors outstanding flying. This 13 year youg kid can really fly! I think he will be blowing his Dad's doors off here soon!

Thanks for letting me use your ramp formy electric HET F-16. I used my bungee Sunday with no ramp and it worked out just as good with no problems. No ramp needed for me
(less junk to carry around. LOL)

Personally....................... I prefer the smaller Events as opposed to the large ones. You get all the flying time you want, no lines to wait in and no Vendors. Just my preference.
