Skymaster T-45 CG - is the book correct
I have a older model Skymaster T-45 , The Instruction page calls for the CG to be set at 180 MM from the leading edge of the wing. A friend of mind who is a engineer was looking at it & did some calculating has mentioned that the CG should be closer to 10 " or about 250 MM. Flying the plane for the 1st time this past weekend, I had no problem with no flaps , but with flaps it seemed to have a Elevator stall.
I would like to know what other's are doing ( CG Wise ). Also with the Flaps upthe plane tracked very well.Thanks for any help on this

I don't know the T-45 but the SM F-16 call's for 135-145mm per the book. The field consensus indicates this is considerably nose heavy.

The SM and FB Hawk are basically the same airframe other than fine details, you may want to look at post #6 in the following thread:
