Go to you tube and search mikedenilin for the video. I only have a short video of that flying with fixed L/G.

Hi Chris,

EDF version is still in development. Larry's very first original prototype was flown with a Turbax then converted to Wren 54 turbine version, if I remember that correctly.

Hi Chris,

Our prototype in NATC color paint schemes were flown with Wren 44 Gold, as seen on the you tube,

Dough's skyray is still flying with a P60. P60 will give it an almost 1 to 1 thrust to weight ratio. One of our club pilots is planning on putting a P70 and thrust vectoring.

So it can fit a P70 inside? How much fuel is onboard?

It can fit a P70, the fuel tanks that we have holds about 92 oz., however, we have not flown it on P70 so we are not sure how it will fly, but with fully loaded fuel, it will weigh in at 17 lbs, at 9 oz/min consumption rate, you can go for 10 minutes on P70 theoretically. We still need to under go a lot of tests on this set up before we can claim that it's P70 compatible. Should be fun though.

Hi Staale,

Due to family reason, we won't be attending the Jet Power 2009, but will be there for 2010.

Here are some more photos of the part list.

Will post more photos later.

Ok I've unpacked everything, the plane is very compact but there is surprisingly a lot of space inside the fuse., the wings are very light, with two large carbon rods for spars , they won't come off in flight! The elevons are lived hinged with a flange on the inner side, very close fit and works perfect .
The gear is very strong, very smooth, with jet legend wheels and brakes, I think the springs are a bit too stiff on the mains. There are two 46oz fuel tanks , they are on the heavy side, fit nicely but it is so tight that't I've not managed to fit them both (one is jaming on the other but there is probably a good way to insert them) . Anyway it is too much fuel for a 44 gold so I won't use both of them. the gear doors fit is reasonable. The flap trim seems a bit too tight, I'll see how it works when I'll install them.
The finish is very good, I provided Mike with a set of 1/48th decals and they have done a perfect scaling up of those. Paint is smooth no default, lines are crisp. The panel lines have a bit disapeared under the paint, but will look good with some weathering. I don't think there's a clear coat on it.
I couldnt be more satisfied well done GJC.

I forgot to mention that the communication with Mike and his staff is outstanding (thank you Mindy)

I agree. despite some family difficulties recently, Mike has gone above and beyond to respond promptly to some of my questions on a different project. I wonder if they're going to make a slightly larger (Mark Frankel-ish sized) Ford

Hi Florent,

Please note that we added 4 aluminum rods in the package for carbon fiber spar reinforcement. We did not insert these rods into the spar because they add some weight to the planes. Even though they are not needed under normal flying condition, but they add extra strength to the carbon fiber spar in case people want to put a big turbine in the plane or pull higher G. To insert them or not is at buyer's discretion.

Email our tech support team, they have some of the photos of my prototype with Wren 44 Gold installation.

Hi Buck,

Thanks for your support. Doing this hobby is keeping me happy and mind occupied while going through the unexpected.

Nice photos of your smiling face and reflective teeth. MIG pilot said that he will recognize you beyond visual range.

Those are awesome! Nice looking jets. Being an early Navy jet fanatic, this may be a future addition to the hangar!

I hope to have one ready for the Sun Valley Rally in VMF115 colors, If you attend it will be ready for a spin or two. BTW You had best make reservations at UJ's casa if attending as the rooms are filling up .

Mike: Too bad you are not making it to Jetpower this year[]
However, you have, or are supposed to ship a Skyray to a friend of mine here in Norway who has been waiting for a long, long time. I can take a look at that one when it arrives...

What is the current delivery situation on the 3 schemes in the pic.?

Hi Staale,

Yes, Tom is going to be a happy camper when he sees the L/G system.

These paint schemes are available within 2 weeks of a confirmed order. However, it depends on how fast we are selling this first production lot.

The nest production run won't start until December.

Thanks,

Mike
