single tygon for twin engines
hello guys!
i will srart making some test about that but i would love to hear if any of you have expirience on that...
the set up im thinking will be twin p160 turbines.. to two UAT (one for each engine) then to two smal tanks (one for each UAT) then Y to one big tank
then to secont big tank and then to vent.
..after the Y we will have two engine pumps pull out juse from a single tygon....all the way till the end!(vent ..taxi tank)
-is there any case tygon walls colapse becouse of high vacium from the twin pumps?
-do you think seperate fuel systems should be made for each turbine?
thank you in advance for any replyies my friends..sorry for my poor english

RE: single tygon for twin engines
George, I think it highly unlikely the walls of Tygon would collapse, however I fly a twin F15 (two 160s) which are fed from a central tank so I have two clunks and separate pipes to each UAT.

RE: single tygon for twin engines
Hi George,
I´m working on a 1/5 scale GLoster Meteor mk4, (Two P80's)
choose to use one 5L main tank,
The two P80's each have their own UAT and their own clunk in the main tank, (two clunks!)
Although I doubt that, even at full throttle, the diameter of the tygon tube will be too small,
resulting in a build up of vacuum, but then, in your case the P160's might be too thirsty
Better test it first,
Frank

RE: single tygon for twin engines
hey Mick!how big is your tank my friend?..what estimate flight time you have on it with your twin cats?[8D]
Frank beutifull plane you have there mate!your set up is looking good!good think when tank is on the C.G.!
..do you see any air in UAT after your flight since you go direct to the big tank?[8D]
..some years now i own the big 1/8 Su35 Super Flanker of www.adjets.com
jet is still unpainted and almost finishing its final instaletion becouse im not hapy with the tanks and rebuilt must take place..
...then some more test flights and then painting .. this was a kit so i take my time with it..and i enjoy it!
it came with two tanks 2.4l each http://pagesperso-orange.fr/aviation...kevlartank.htm
that are just a zip for the 160s
this is why im making another big one to feed this two... i would end up with 20cm of single tube feed the engines....
...i will drop the idea even if tygon walls wont collapse ..becouse with this way i double the speed fuel runs in the tygon to this part
and i dont want any posibility of fuel static built up ..
so no seperate fuel system but not also inline! paralel all the way to the last tank and then twin clunks for the UATs
thanx for your posts and forgive my poor english guys..[8D]
p.s. photo of su when start building 2years ago//photos and review will take place when everythink is done and ready
