The inlet molds are ready. Today I joined the fuselage halves. Pretty excited to get it out of the molds now.

That is one sweet fuselage, my hats off to you. Superb job! And you said like one week ago that you have still lot to learn on layups. That sure looks sweet! Thank you so much for sharing your build

Thanks guys.
Inlets are out of the molds. I'm planning a 3 litre fuelcell underneath the intakes. Home made, naturally.

RE: Working on a F-35 Lightning II
Update.
I tried uploading a few times earlier but got a server error each time. 3rd attempt.
I'm working on the interior of the model. Still need to make bulkheads for the nose section/nose retract and servotray.
Wings and horiz. stabs are ready for primer. Elevators will be molded later on. Still a lot of work to be done, but hope to testfly early summer. [8D]

Stig.
How have you hinged the elevators? I can see partial ribs molded into the elevators, but any better shots of the elevator and fuse parts along the hinge line? That hinge line is going to be the most highly stressed control surface and need some heavy duty fast digital servos.

Not sure if the pictures I have really show how I designed the elevator hinging. The hinge line is also the centerline of the elevator, which have 5 degrees dehedral. I have attached the pictures that I have of the elevator hinging. I will use JR DS8911 for the elevators.

Yes, time goes by too quickly. I'm hoping to visit the USA some time soon again. Will let you know. We're thinking of going to Minnesota to show my kids where "daddy" went to High School some 26 years ago [X(] I will say hi to Kim from you.
Hope you are doing well.

Today I opened the mold for my F-35. Here are the mold parts.

This is the second time i saw molds made by supporting the
edges with what looks like, adjustable attachment points.
Looks like a cool way to make a mold.
