Default Wow, have you seen the New FEJ F100

Just wanted to post some pics of the new FEJ F100.

To me this paint job is wonderful and should really show well in the sky. As James the rep from FEJ has told me, this jet has incorporated many of the details that are on the full scale bird. The Flight demo however on FEJ web page is ok, but I would really like to see this baby flown to its fullest.

I am told gear has all new harder alloys, new style air cylinders, and very smooth front leading edge slats, hey the bird comes painted and ready for install at under $4000. If pipe is good, ( I think this issue is corrected ) this could be another must have everyday flyer.

I have built a BVM F100D single seat version that took me 8 months to build and countless hours in the detail and paint area, so with this ARF, I hope to get my hands on one of these soon to compare the two. We will see.

Kev,
Col. Bob will love you at the field if you get one. He has mucho hrs in F-100`s back in the day. The FEJM stuff seems to be always improving. I am watching their T-33 and hopefully F-80 jet for a future project.

Kevin,

Come to Fresno, you'll see this one flying! That one is mine. I sent them this decal sheet color scheme and photos of the BVM F-100D Justin Sands built for Top Gun a couple years ago. FEJ did an awesome job!

It ships tomorrow! Can't wait to get this one in the air!

Looks like FEJ placed carbon fiber cloth in many areas. Well Done.

David, you have an extra cot in your camper, LOL..

Kevin,

The couch folds out to a very comfortable bed. Lewis Patton stayed with me at Desert Storm in Phoenix this year, we had a ball!

Re: Carbon Fiber. Yes FEJ is getting better with each kit they produce. Since this LG is quite simple(no rotation, no complex geometry) I really don't expect any problems there either.

The flap & leading edge slat design is taken off the BVM F-100, so it's pretty much proven as well!

Awesome color scheme! I actually placed an order for one as soon as it was released, but had to cancel when I was reminded of the many unfinished projects awaiting my attention. So I'm looking forward to the release of the F-86 or T-33. [8D]

If pipe is good, ( I think this issue is corrected ) this could be another must have everyday flyer.

Kevin

I wouldn't assume that the issue has been corrected. A very reputable [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8798412/tm.htm]Fly Eagle Jets[/link] dealer recently received a defective pipe on his new large scale F-16.

David and Kevin are spot on...they have corrected all the problems and have "moved on with their life". I have mine on the way as well guys. I was having a hard time betreen the Thunderbirds and the red/whit. I went with the T-Bird and will flight metal the unpainted portion. It's in paint now and who knows...might have 2 RTF by Fresno!!!!
See you there guys.
