Honest situation in our airfield, Shui was at the right time at the right place with THE right tx...my brand new Airworld Hawk had a "Titan" flame out in a position far away where if it would happen today (knock on wood) to bring the airplane WITH power it would be difficult. I think it was one of the best landings witnessed by me. Cheapest training ever! Afterwards same Hawk went on to take 2nd place in Top Gun.

It's good to know all those years I was in ''the camp'' selling jets for someone and flying my butt off, winning awards, Top Gun's, etc that I could do no wrong. Suddenly I'm like a bad guy? C'mon now. I'm flattered by the constant watchover I'm receiving, obviously someone is bored or simply misses me

Congratulations Justin. For all of my years on RCU I don't recall ever writing a negative personal post. YOU have finally prompted me to write my first. Your post is totally out of line. You are the poorest, most pitiful miserable excuse I have EVER run across for a company rep. Your imperious attitude is palpable. I have tried to talk with you at a couple of events. The last one was BITW two years ago. I wanted to comment on your Mig and ask a couple of questions about mine. Mine was a six year old fairly beat up one if you remember. I ask you a question, you looked at me, shook your head in a dismissive manner and rolled away. Pitiful. Every other JR rep I have ever come in contact with are top shelf-I dont know for the world how you got in. Scott

Ok, I was not going to say anything about the things I am reading about my F-100, but I feel I have to now. First of all the F-100 was flown with a P-160SX, not a P-200, I had mentioned that earlier in the thread. I had asked David S to do the maiden flight and the timer was set a little high and now we all know the end result. I take full responsibility of the timer as I should of said to Dave to reduce the timer, but I did"nt, after all it is my jet. Justin Sands, I hope your post about "if you can"t build or maintain your own jet, you should not have a waiver". but it does sound like it as it was pointed towards me as this thread now is about what happened to my F-100. Justin I respect your building and flying skills, please don"t disrespect mine, I have a right to hold a waiver as you or anyone else.

I dont know who you are. You have never talked to me. The reason I am a rep is because I am easy to strike up a conversation with and if I dont have the answer I will gladly call who I know will have the answer for that person. Lets not be making things up shall we.
This best in the west thing seems to be a common topic for you folks so here is what it is about. Top Gun was less than a month away. The Mig had to be test flown and brought with my A-game,,,that means we are not there to joke around and drink with the Homies. I was there to get the Mig sorted out for top gun. There is allot at stake with a model like that and I oppologize to those that found me to be offish at the event more than 2 years ago. I am sure I had a ton of things going in my head that weekend.
Joe C. You know I would help you with your birds anytime. I sent out the fins for ya....but never heard if they worked. Let me know if you need any help on the repair.
Sincerely
Justin Sands

Well put Joe!
FYI...............Your Sabre is shown in flight front and center on BVM's homepage!................[:-]
With Justin's comments, one could wonder what the Turn-key Jets section is for..........
Scotty, It was good to see you again................He's just waste of a priority parking spot............

No, you dont know (and didnt care to know but you knew who my friends were) who I am, that was painfully obvious to me at the time. Now to top it off you call me a liar. I really could care less. After thirty-five years in R/C I can afford to choose who I call my friends. Scotty

Ron and Tony.....................EXCELLENT JOB.
As all who actually attended attest, it was a very well run event and a great jet rally. So what makes a "great" rally? For me it was the laid back format............No egos, just a lot of smiles and appreciation to all that showed up. As there is in every event whether it be a fly-in, rally or contest, certain times when someone pushes the rules a bit. I watched how Tony handled it....I had to look close because there was no drama and drill sergeant-like horse crap. Tony just said the word........no strutting around and threatening to have people "escorted" as otheres have done in the past...............A True class act.....AWESOME JOB! Then there is Ron...........The guy that never stopped smiling! I have NEVER seen Ron at the field that much without a transmitter in his hand, until now. How hard was that?
So now I sit back and think about this event. Why did it work? To me having, Sam Wright on the mike and Joe Balabon behind the lens is a must for all events. In addition the tunes on the P.A. were awesome! Saturday's dinner was off the hook and well attended. I think that for next year, we need to have an official night event...........Oh YA...........I have been doing this RF thing with toy airplanes since 1970 and I have never been more amazed and impressed by an individuals ingenuity and skill as I was with Yuri's night performance.......TRULY AMAZING.
The comradery at this event was outstanding and it makes me proud to have been there. Every moment and gave each of us a story to tell for years.
How many days 'till next year??

John

I get all mine from Deer Valey Airport (KDVT). Atlantic Aviation will sell Jet-A to you in your can........Be sure to ask for Jet-A. 60% of the time that I do, they still send me to the 100 LL truck...................It was good to meet you, fly safe.

I do appreciate that BVM supported my Jet Rally with door prizes. But now I honestly wish I could give them back and say no thanks. You two just tainted the memory of my first event. Now it will be known for this fight instead of the fun that was had. I spent a lot of time trying to make this a fun relaxed atmosphere and still be organized. Sun Valley Fliers deserves better.

Ryan and Brian,
You can buy kero and oil at Falcon Field which is on the route between Camelback Mtns and Superstition Airpark. Take 202 Eastbound and exit Southbound on N Greenfield Rd, turn East on E McKellips Rd and turn into the airport. There is a self-serve pump at Falcon Executive Aviation 480-832-0704 which is located next to the control tower.
For more info, see www.airnav.com, airport code KFFZ

Jim
