Anton:
Would you recommend a giro for this plane ? I think you were flying the prototype without one, but the manual states that you need one.
What size of turbine would you recommend ? 36 or 48 lbs ?

yes, i never use the gyro, but the F-104 use the gyro for ailerons is better, and the P-180RX or P-180(20kg thurst) for F-104 are enough,

I was considering this scheme. The demo schemes look great on the 104.

RE: Skymaster ARF Plus 1:5 scale F-104G
Looks great Anton, glad to see more of these starting to surface.
One suggestion however would be to have the main gear doors closed when the gear is down.

RE: Skymaster ARF Plus 1:5 scale F-104G
Hi all,
here all dates from my SM F 104, one of the best Jets i ever fly
I test four thrustline (pipe-degree)positons, the best was 9 cm from fuselage to pipe see photo(on photo8 cm position-8 cm is not good fuselage become minus degree and F 104flys bad)
this( 9 cm)thrustlinePosition was 2 degree + to the wings (same as Original)
with this pipe positon was the CG 12 cm from wing Nose back with empty fuel tank and a 17 kg thrust Turbine
The first flights and on Jetpower (Video)i fly with a 17 kg Frank Turbine,
aktualy i fly a Frank turbinewith 19,5 kg thrust, a dream, distance to start 50 m but the CGgoes to 11,5 cm with a strong Turbine (thrust 2 degree +)
I fly ACT SMM Gyro on aileronat Jetpower, aktualy Gyro on aileron and ruderthatwas the best.
slats 11 mm start
flaps 45 mm start
slats 17 mm landing
flaps 75 mm landing
elivator 52 mm up (down maximum to Ruder ca. 40 mm) max. 20% expo
elevator start 3 mm up
elevator landing 6 mm up
I give SM this updateAnton give the Information into the INSTUCTION MANUAL.
Best regards from Bavarian
