It's a bigger Spark type, produced like the Harpoon II in the CARF factory. Designed for P60-70 and G-Booster 80. Uses Harpoon II gear and legs. Kits available now, I saw the prototype fly back in May and it was flying at JP...though I missed it like most of the flying!

DAve,
Bob Belloumini and I would like some more information. I'm looking for a Flash or Bandit type bird that will allow my Wren Super Sport to work.. This looks interesting. Bob and I were discussing this bird..

Can you email some stuff to Bob?

thanks..goose..

Ive just re -read that. Harpoon II gear and legs and P60? I might have to take my Harpoon off the For Sale board and put it back as airframe only !

Any idea on price?

List is 1990 euro, 1790 was JP discounted special. Guessing £1699 in UK.
Yes Harpoon undercarriage set with trailing link legs. Comes with 2.5 ltr conform tanks. P60-70 or Booster 80/MW SS looks perfect.

Kits on there way to me.

Will look better with tinted (smoke) canopy glass. If it flies aswell as the Spark it will be a cracker.

Should be a perfect Pheonix patch winter model with just the two bolts on the wing and planning a P60 for mine with the U/C out of my Rookie 11. And there was me thinking my building was all planned for the winter. Looked to fly well at Jetpower and given 2.5 litres of fuel should give a decent flight time.

Simon,

Will Colin resist or enjoy life.

Colin,

You need a simple winter jet and so does Simon but not sure if Dave has any left.

Simon, you know I only have to look at something twice and Dave has one on order!

My amended ad for Harpoon:

Harpoon IIWife for sale, one careful owner, regularly serviced, fairly low maintenance but cracks starting to appear on front fus. Bags supplied for transport away from the home. Best offer secures

It's too early to say what it will compare with, different from a Flash and Bandit, smaller turbines to start with, P70 is the largest case dia that will easily fit.
There are a lot of small case mid size turbines available and it's aimed at those.

1990 euro is with 19% tax, you can remove 19% and a little discount so $23-2400

It looks to be in a similar class and size to the FEJ Liberty S. Trailing links and no gear doors aimed at 90mm size turbines? Wonder which would be faster? Any idea on top speed?

No idea whch will be faster, but I'm sure the Inspiration will fly better- the FEJ model seems to lack tailplane area from what I've seen. The Inspiration isn't pretty, but the Liberty S definately swollowed the U P in my eyes!!

Why is Graupner pricepolicy to worst.More expensive than a Flash....
The G-Booster is sold directly from EvoJet because of this(that what I was told at JP) so after a while is this also sold
from the maker or......??

Agreed. They alway seem to price themselves completely out of the market.
Who will buy a Graupner Booster now that EvoJet is on the market when everybody knows it's the same engine from the same manufacturer with some of the design changed because of copyright reasons (colors, casing, ECU, 12volt system etc.)
Did anyone ever buy the medium sized Hawk they released two years ago?? It was a nice plane, but twice as pricy as it should have been...
No one I know will ever buy a Grapner plane or engine with the prices they keep. It is hard to see the new sport jet getting popular too with the great Flash on the market for less money, and the Flash is not excatly cheap either...

Good luck in todays market when people are keeping their wallets close to their chest more than ever before.

Because they are a wholesale business! They have to buy the product in, ideally make some money and sell it to a shop...who wants to make some money...selling it to you. EvoJet is cheaper as he has one less margin to add, like Comp ARF who sell direct.
Unfortunately our hobby has become too cheap and people expect chinese direct sale prices...through a model shop. This can't happen. For sure in a few years there will be very few shops left, then we will see how it is when you need that small part and you need to order it from the internet.

Luckily there are modellers who want a product, because they want it, not because it's cheap...like a high end car buyer-same job, 4 wheels, three times the cost. I expect the Inspiration to sell very well in the UK, not because it's cheap, but because it fits the market. People pay £500+ for a wood Boomerang, if this was a prop kit it would be £250...and include a motor mount and fuel tank!! But because people want it they buy it...so you guys don't want an Inspiration, that's clear.

Best Regards

Dave Wilshere
