Default Al's Hobbies Jet Power 09 News

Just finished unloading the stock van from Jet power. As always this event just keeps getting bigger and better. More traders, more flying than ever and our best takings by far. Thanks to the team of my guys who worked so hard, and provide such entertainment.
A massive congratulations to Winnie and his team. A masterpiece in organization.
Al's Hobbies also had great business developments.
First of which was to become exclusive Uk dealer ( As well as worldwide sales) for the new Tomahawk range of aircraft. I think it would be fair to say that this relatively new company ( We saw them for the first time last year ) created the biggest impact at 09. Star of their booth was the massive Bae T1 Hawk. This dwarfed every other hawk available yet even more impressive is that the demo model which Tommy flew at the world jet masters in 09 was below 20 Kg with a G booster G 180!!
Of course there was also the much talked about Futura sport jet design, as well as the new small viper which is ideal for the smaller 80n size turbines.
Future projects were also on show. One of which was the plug for the massive 1/3rd scale super scale F-86, smaller 80n Futura to name but a few.
We have already placed forward orders for Hawks and Futura's and small vipers and hope to start deliveries in approximately 8 weeks time. I predict a high level of demand for this range of models, and with low frequency high quality production I can already sense a backlog for Tommys models. So for those interested I advise getting your name on the list pronto.
As with all of the models we sell. We are happy to sell these from basic kits, right up to full combos and even complete turnkey jets if required.
Information right now is limited, but in the next week or so I hope to have lots more available. For anyone interested in any of these models, please feel free to get in touch, and I will be happy to help.

Regards A

We also secured the agency for the HT Modellbau range of kits.
HT are a swiss company that are probably best known for producing the Huge Hawker Hunter that Reto senn has flown at two Jet World masters.
They also produce two smaller hunters, as well as two PC21 turbo props as well as others models. I have one of their PC21 kits being built and there is a thread running here by Marc S that highlights the high quality of HT kits and retract systems.
At Jet Power 09 I was lucky enough to collect my very own large Hunter turn key, and am over the moon with how it has turned out. Ht are are a very small company so communication can sometimes be difficult, but I have been assured that they are going to step up production and correspondence in the near future. So for those wanting more info please feel free to get in touch and I will endeavor to be of assistance. We hope to be able to supply from basic kits, right up to turn key examples of their kits.

Hi Ali.

Your A-10 presentation was mind blowing.

Is there any chance you could share a video here ?

Also could you send me your email by pm for the P-200 FOD screens ?

Hi Ali, do you get a sense that the smaller Hunter kits will become available or is HT not really interested in producing them?
regards
Harry

Congrats on your Hawk order. When you need someone to help teaching Koen how to fly scale just ask
Oliver
Thanks for your kind words on the A-10. Sad news is that they were my last flights on that great plane
Gordon.
I am no giant, but yep that hunter is pretty darn big!

I was told that they had stock of the smaller ones.

Ali

It has been a real privilege to see your flights this year with the A-10. I do not think I have seen a better flown routine anywhere. I am not sure how you will top it next year.

Hmm,

so you meant that hunter Ali

Nice one!

@Koen: I'll keep bugging Maikel so he keeps up to speed. Maikel, just so you know, I want to know when the hunter arrives, don't keep it a secret!

Heres an Ali Tribute! First, a nice picture of the Al´s Hobbies stand. Then ...So You want earplugs? Here! Also, the successfull flying begins with a proper pilot posture. Then some low knife-edge stuff with the Viper...and an interested lady spectator. Good one Ali, it was nice meeting You and yes, my Tomahawk Viper order is in the book!

Hi Oliver. Sorry I missed part of your questions. Post Jet power is proving to be as busy as the event itself?
There is some video of my A-10 on the video section of my web site. Not from jet Power I am afraid. I look forward to seeing any Jet Power videos as the weather was pretty much perfect for a demo flight ( Apart from it needing to be a little more windy to get the short finals landing nailed )
www.alsvideos.co.uk

You can email me at anytime on [email protected].

Thanks every one for their comments on the A-10. I now full on regret selling it [:@] Time to get another I think?

Tuomas, Great to meet you at the weekend. Nice to see that you went with the Tommy Viper, and some great photos there! ( Do you have that viper pic as a full res image to send me? I dont remember being that low)

A little more news....

I collected the first two large Skymaster Hawks from Jet Power. The Saudi Hawk 100 was made to my order, but the Black T1 ( Union jack version ) Was a stock item. The moment I saw this model together I decided then and there that this was coming back to the uk as well. The level of detail and quality of paint finish is better than I have ever seen on an ARTF. Hell Its even better than the Hawk that won the world jet masters in Hungary. I know because thats hanging from my celling as I type. Thats from a chinese ARTF straight out of the box........!
I am not normally a big black hawk fan but the more I looked at this the ore impressed I was. The quality of moulding, the detail, the stunning undercarriage and best of all low airframe weight blew me away. So much so I have decided that I am going to try and get this model built before my Saudi Hawk 100 ( Which I plan to do a build thread on this winter ) The black Hawk is now with my builders and they have only a one week deadline to see if they can get it ready in time for a jet meet that we have here in the Uk next Friday .

Here's a video of Ali doing a superb routine flying the A-10 which I just uploaded. Once it's processed by youtube the quality gets better, enjoy:

Sure Al won't mind me telling you that the site is

www.tomahawk-design.de

there are a few more pics when the site is in German. Thomas (the owner) will be updating the site soon.

I have their giant Hawk and Futura coming soon. The quality of the moldings are the best you'll see anywhere - classic German quality.

Cheers
Mark
