Seems the reps are now ruining a great thread that was started to hopefully include some of them and their best video, what gives guys? I've seen the back-and-forth in a few other threds, it seems everyone has their panties in a bunch but c'mon, is this really how you want to spend your time? Post some flight video, start a "lowest pass on video" thread or something. This is so sad and pathetic...

OK, I'll raise the stakes a little with video! Here's my #1 pick Rob Lynch having a practice flight on a Wednesday afternoon...

Woah!!

I'm sorry, I saw electra and was just turned off. That dude IS good!!! Thanks for the vid!! My electrophobia kept me from checking that out!

Was that all ONE flight?

Yeah, it was all one flight, the edits are places where I lost the plane completely or perhaps slighly out of frame or focus only.

Your electrophobia is keeping you from flying some awesome planes, the Electras were hitting 193+ MPH @ E-Jets this past September, not "your dad's" electrics anymore ;-)

Hmmm, I smell a challenge yet see no video posted? What specifically does your comment mean? You don't like electric?

Yeah but Pablo's gone electric! So is he still a "jet" pilot? I'm all about the electrics, the days of the turbine are numbered but what about some of these other pilots, afraid to touch it, like the swine flu...

Great sky in those vids Jack. And a great time-of-day to shoot. Gets a little shaky at times but you did a good job tracking the plane.
Pretty tough to keep a palmcorder steady without additional stabilizing support equipment.

Next time cut some footage of Rob Lynch the "person" into the mix...even if it's staged "pretend flying" with no actual plane in the air.
This hobby is about the people...the jets are just the eye candy.
No need to look further than what's going on in these threads for confirmation of that[]

Enjoyed it.

I dont remember his name but the BVM pilot that flys from Dallas Texas is pretty bad *****. Thats for my vote. I've got to represent Texas, sorry!
I'm sorry for not remembering his name, i'm really bad with names.

But heck, we are all good pilots. All these pilots started in the same boat as everyone else. Practice, practice, crashes, crashes, and more practice and motiviation will get us there............................................

Cheers,

Excuse me...but Pablo does not "crash". It is a little known fact that Pabs is really a physics PHD candidate at FIT and it doing his Doctoral Dissertation attempting to validate the Naval theory that states "You won't make the boat get back to port any faster by plowing into the round down while landing.

He is compiling reams of data so he can construct his summation that indeed if you can impact the earth's surface enough times, there might be a way to change the standard rate of the planetary rotation so in case your watch slows down...you would not have to readjust the baseline time settings.

OK, so everyone (well maybe not EVERYONE) has posted who they think is the best. Rob Lynch and Shui get a lot of play when this question is asked. My question to you is now that you have made your statement as to who, I ask why?

What makes your choice "the" choice. What is it about their flying that you think makes them the best? Is it the mastery of the low high speed pass? Is it the ability to do a slow roll from horizon to horizon? Is it that they fly several different maneuvers that combine daring with superior piloting skill? Is it that they are just all around good guys that are excellent pilots and helpful to others? Could it be that they can fly anything with ease?

What is YOUR reason for your pick?

D. All of the above.

An excellent stick that is a pr*ck wouldn't get much play.
Perfectly performed maneuvers done at "2 mistakes" high wouldn't get much play.
Only being able to fly one particular airframe well wouldn't get much play.

So, to me, it's the great guy with a sparkling personality that flies precision maneuvers just off the deck and can maiden just about anything, anytime, anywhere successfully.
Kind of like a JOE McBRIDE kind of a guy!
I feel the same about Ali, Shui, and a few others.
I've seen Darcy Wingo do some nice stuff.

And for rippin' down low arcing burner passes followed by monstrous hill climbin', my boy Dougy Anderson brings it!

All great guys with excellent thumbs, and fun to watch.

Doesn't need to be a number 1 for me. Just want them all to stay in the game for our enjoyment.

Well said Paul. For me the best all around, naturally talented, consistent, guts-ball, surprise maneuver, on-the-deck, nice guy and showmanship jet pilot is Shui. I never get tired of watching him fly!

And as we used to say in the full scale fighter pilot community; "If you don't know who the best pilot is....it ain't you".

Craig

Here's a couple of routine/typical Shui passes at this year's FL Jets.
