Default power supply

I am looking for a new powersupply to power my multiplex charger. I will also be purchasing a new charger to charge A123 batteries.

Can anyone recomend a good powersupply that will fit my needs. I will be taking it to the field from time to time.

Thanks,

Tucson

How many amps are you looking to pull? AC or DC?

Socomon,

I will be charging 2300 a123's. I also will charge NIMH 2700 ma packs. I would like it to power two small chargers or perhaps a Fromco Cube with 3 stations. I will probably buy the cube.

Thanks,

Tucson

I use the Ripmax Pro-Peak dual output. Works great on the A-123's.

Hi Country Boy,

The dual Ripmax looks very good. 20A. 77.00 dollars not bad.

Which charger are you using for A123's? If it Will charge two packs at one time that would be better.

Are you still flying your Elan? I am enjoying mine.

The Ripmax is a good choice. I have a 25 Amp switching supply from radio shack that I like. It was $65, but I can't find it on their site now. It must be discontinued.

As you can see in the picture, I am using the Cellpro S and I also have the Cellpro Multi Four...both purchased from Andy at Electrodynamics. It's a great charger at a very reasonable price.

As for the Elan, it has been out of commission since early summer. Sixth flight, I managed to hit a runway light that caught the molded wing leading edge section of the fuselage. Very fixable, I just haven't gotten around to it. Had double cataract surgery afterward which put me out for about six weeks total between the two surgeries. Left eye did good as far as recovery, but the right eye has taken awhile and I am still taking antibiotics for it. Probably should have waited until after the cataract surgery to have flown the Elan. Between work, kids and grand kids... I have spent the remainder of the summer working on my Eurosport. I hope to have it done and the Elan back together by early spring.

Country Boy,

It seems like everyone at our field is having or has had cataract surgery. I am not to far away myself from having it done. I have been luckier with my Elan. 22 flights. Very nice flying airplane. I just bought the Skymaster L-39 and a JetCat 120 sx to go in it. I want to go the A123 Route on the L-39.

I notice that Cellpro makes a dual charger also. That way I could charge two Batteries at the same time.
