Please don’t take my comments to be anti feminist etc, but does Laura actually fly?
She always seams to have a lot to say, is she on your committee?
I know I am not the only observer who has had the same thought.
The only problem we have ever had in the 65 years history of our club was by a secretary that eventually resigned because his wife was constantly vocal in her opinions and comments to him , they were never constructive and based on second hand knowledge and hear say from other club members.
She was a club member even though she did not fly !!! It was all very political as she was the secretary’s wife. It seamed that she would load the gun, and then the secretary would fire the bullets.
I hope you resolve your problems and I know you will do your best.
I for one know that you can do it with out hear say and conjecture mudding the waters.
I know I will get flack for this but we are all entitled to our opinions. !!
I speak from bitter experience of having to sort the mess from meddling “Fem†members afterwards

Great Pity................ There is a lot of Jealousy from those that dont have Jets............. As I have said many times...... Noise is the sound of life.......... Quiet is the sound of death

To be honest 'the Bush' I'm not too bothered what you think and the fact you don't consider me to be a "true lady" is just fine with me.
I'm not here to impress you, and if you don't like the way put my views on this thread then I can only apologise for that and suggest you don't read them. I have been flying planes since I was nine and although it is not the be all and end all in my life, I still care what goes on at Bickley because my dad is a very keen jet modeller. So when a rule is put in place I and others don't agree with, I don't start a thread on it but I will comment on a thread if someone else does. You speak about women in model scene as if they are unwelcome and have not got a clue. I may not be able to calculate the wing loading of a model or assemble a complex model but I know how they work, what makes them work and what not to do. Also, I am aware how important safety is to the Bickley club and recognise that personal safety is the most important thing in our hobby.
This is a forum not for someone to have personal digs.

Dear all
I started this thread just to inform the sad news that I am not able to run a jet meet next year.
Bickley is still running and running very well. The changes made ARE working and today proved that.
I take digs at Bickley very personally as its a massive part of my life. I work very hard for the good of the club, for the members and for the guests when we have them.
My job is to run the events primarily but Bickley is my second home. Please don't publicly bash it. Have faith in me and the rest of the committee to keep things sweet and be able to open our doors again.
Again, its one year off, thats all. IT WILL BE BACK!
