Looks awesome!!!

Time now to get the ducts etc finished off in my Tomahawk Hawk!!! It suffered a lobotomy getting the project started so be nice to get it back to a state where the build could continue

Get it done Mark.
Mate, I would but I need Marc and Rich to get back on it. They've had a lot of projects on so hopefully they won't forget my poor Hawk we ripped the inners out of to start the project!!

Thanks for the comments guys. The credit must all go to MArc Scully for the build, and Ray Habgood for the paint. As always, Ralle from Tailormade services in Germany for the paints, paint masks and markings..
Mark, I am sure 007scully will get back onto your hawk as soon as you need him to ( He was actually talking about it while we were putting this one together) although something tells me, that it might not have been just him and Rich's fault for your getting put on the back burner
Regards Al

This is stunning mate, even more so in the flesh, it's easily the nicest Hawk i have ever seen. I do have a thing for green models anyway, but the Saudi scheme really makes the Hawk stand out.

I wonder if the canopy on my hawk can be made to function like the one on this airplane?  Mark, Ali??

Anurag,

Yes it can. You'll need the Details 4 Scale canopy kit and then you'll need to find a builder that likes problems and hassle to get it all working well

Rgds,
Mark

As mark says you can, its not fun and requires alot of fiddling around, the restraining system used on this Hawk was self designed and is not part of the Details4Scale kit, but options as to how its locked down are available.
Unfortunately its not something I would take on as a retro fit job ;-)

Good luck with that... I think you might struggle to find a Hawk to your liking and with the "parts" that you enjoy under 20 KG. I also think that you might not like the way such a lightweight flies... but hey.. what do I know

Anurag,

Al is right about this! If 'with documentation' you mean for WJM < 20kg then forget any of the 'nice' parts you can add to this model. You'll also have to remove most of the stuff that makes the install 'nice' or 'convenient' as well as going borderline on saftey in my opinon to make the weight.

Also, mine (i.e. the one you're flying now!) went from 19,94kg to (I think) 24kg with bigger turbine, ordnance, pylons, cannon etc and it flew much much better afterwards!

If you want to compete at WJM AND to have similar bits/install as your current Hawk then I don't think this is the model to do it with.....

My 0.02

hmmmmmm.....i have to sadly agree with the both of you.  However, I must concede that I personally havent seen a prettier RC model than a skygate hawk.  And I cannot have enough of it.  I will surely get a few more before I can feel that I have had enough of this airplane.

Any chance the WJM committee will ever relax the 20kg rule?  I think its about time they do?  But I may be wrong on this account.

Anurag,

I can't see it being increased from 20kg any time soon but hey, now i've said that they probably will! There are several guys on RCU involved in the WJM so might be worth asking them??!

Also, by the time you're bored with my SG Hawk I'll probably have had several flights on my TomaHawk Hawk and be looking to move it on. All the toys plus a little more going on that one

Classified for now! As with my Skygate, I have found one that I don't believe has been put on a model before. Military though
