Seriously though, Marc's tank is a large rectangular 6L tank designed to fit high up in the fuselage above the wheel wells using the provided CNC formers. This helps free up space lower in the fuselage for equipment etc. As Marc says, it's only up high as it was a scaled up design from the SG Hawk where a full ducting system was designed and thus the tank had to be moved. There is no ducting set for the TH Hawk but it was an easy task to scale up the formers and still use the tank in the upper position.

And it makes a nice place to mount your turbine electronics, and the space between the wheels can be used for the radio equipment
Marc, stop fooling around with the bikes and design some more clever stuff for us

Hello Guys
I'am Andreas from Germany and its my first post on rcuniverse.
I fly the Tomahawk hawk about one year and its the best jetplane i've ever had.
The Engine is an IQ Hammer 180+ and the hawk weights 24,6kg with 5 litres fuel in it.
So there i have some pictures of my hawk.
Greats andreas

have any of you guys experienced the inlet ducts cracking from pressure. my ducts started cracking and ripping with around 20 flights on the jet. i fly with a behotec 180, so she isnt to fast or flown hard. i ordered a new set and added a layer of 1oz cloth to the inlets. not much extra weight, but i will never have to remove them again to fix this issue. barry
here is a pic of one of the cracked inlets and pics of the new inlets.

Looks great Thomas - great work.
I test flew my 1.9 Futura on the weekend - 5 great flights. Now the focus can get back on the Hawk!
Seen your gear yet? I havent heard back from PC as yet.

Hi Tobba,
thank you for your kind words!
But my building skills are way less good then yours or of some other modelers here.
But thats OK, i do not want to compete or compare my models with others. My goal is to do a good job and have
a functional and good looking plane from in and outside.
Peter just droped me a email saying my gear will be shipped next 2-3 days. It took a bit longer as he had a new idea
on the Breaks which he wanted to realize on my gear as first (yours aswell).
So i should have something laying under my christmas tree lol
Great you maidened your Futura, i loved mine a lot. To bad u sold it on, but maybe who knows? I get the laeger one for christmas too??
Keep fingers crossed my friend!
Cheers

Hey Thomas,
New brake tech sounds interesting - I'll drop him an email today for an update.
I'm thinking the Futura will be the perfect stick warmer before the Hawk test flight - it was nice and relaxing to fly. Mine flew with a bit of a nose up attitude and climbed into wind so I think I have a CG issue to sort out but other than that pretty good.
Cheers

Hi Tobba,
i think i had my CG on my small Futura just at the end of the wing tube and the plane was still a tad nose heavy!
For landing i used a crow set up, the Futura came in with that just nicely.
The crow throws i have used:
Flaps down as per manual
Ailerons up about 1cm mesured on the deepest point next to the flaps
Elevator down about the thicknes of the elevator rudder end (dont know the english name of it?)
Cheers
Thomas
PS: I just missed a large Futura kit on ebay by lousy 10,- Euros [&o][&o][&o]
But got myself a new Turbine for a bargain price So a kit needs to follow too
