TBM DV8R anyone have one or about too?
I just ordered a TBM DV8R. Should be here early next week. Just wondering if anyone else out there has purchased one or is in the process of building one.
While I put it together, I will take some pics and things that I have deviated from the instruction manual.
Hope it flys great.

I have one that just arrived a week ago. Looks like a decent kit ... not too much building. Going to put an older Titan in mine and may dial it back a bit. Mine arrived in fine shape and I think for the money, muy initial impression of the quality is pretty good. Doesn't look like there is much building beyond servo installs, hinging the control surfaces, mounting the stabs and equipment installs. The canopy will need some painting to hide all the plywood.

Keith,
Are you using their retract/struts and brake system?

Yes. I will probably start the build in a couple of weeks.

how do the retracts look? Look like good quality?

Actually, they are pretty impressive. Hard rubber tires, trailing link design and massive cylinders for the size and weight of the gear. Springs appear to be substantial. Interesting locking design that allows for a completely horizontal trunnion slot in the side frames that will eliminate the buildup of burrs at the transition points.
