I was only joking! Wow 2 large vans, but this is as much a reflection of how large the models have got.
No need to attempt to take a pop up then, unless one was there several days early it was not possible to get a pitch on the flightline anyway. I guess it is fairer not to allow them at all. Just hope no one dies of heat stroke or that we do not get the usual really heavy rain. As you say the weather forecast looks good and not too hot. Cannot wait for my favourite event. See you there.

Hi John,
You need not worry. We have been evicted to the very end of the line this year. I think the organisers are this year stopping tents/ Gazebos being erected on the flight line this year.
Regards Al

Only one really big model this year John. ( 7m span fox glider )
Looks like one van may do now ( a couple of the demo models have sold today ) Although we have to take 2 as we cant all fit in one, unless someone travels in the back.
Looking at the forecast, I dont think Heat stroke will be a worry this year, but I know what you mean about weather at Pampa. It does seem to be an event of either extreme as far weathers concerned ( having endured floods and droughts )
Sandor. We have all weekend for habu flying.

Many many thanks to everyone of the Pampa ModelFighters Club for organizing -once again- such a fantastic jet weekend !
We've enjoyed it all tremendously.
BTW. It was also just on prime time news tonight, on our national TV. Hats off for such an achievement !
Nicolas.

Another great Pampa Jets, thankyou to all of those at the club that put in so much effort to make it happen.
I must say sorry to anyone who I scared with my mistake on Saturday. I am deeply embarrassed and can blame nothing else than myself for pushing that little bit too hard.
On a more positive note. Thanks to Christous, Nico and all of the dutch guys that were so kind and friendly with there delicious BBQ on Saturday night. I cant wait till we can do it all over again at Jets over Cyprus.
Regards Al

Yeah, the BBQ was nice wasn't it?
I only was a bit embarresed when you were literally flying circles around my kolibri-powered twinjet
Great fun though, see you all again next year!
(btw, great save..)

We told him to shorten his aileron control horns or build with more dihedral... just to keep them out of the grass at such extreme low passes !
One link came off and he managed to recover the plane from an instant crash and land safely... fantastic flying skills !!!

RE: Jets over Pampa 2010
This was again a great weekend at Pampa's, really good organisation and thanks for that.
My personal highlight was flying the 3 Ultra Lightning's together with Ali and Derk, especially the second flight on saturday.
It was the first time I flew full throttle for the whole flight, was impressed with your "baby turbine" Ali.
Also the BBQ on saturday was superb, we had a great "chef" from Cyprus and nice lady's to assist!!
Anyway, I hope next year it will be a amazing JOP again.

My knees on the other hand were shaking and I'm glad that only an aileron link broke loose, but apologies accepted. Congrats also on winning the challange thropy for the 3rd time in a row !!!
For me the highlights were the 2 SR71's flying together and the magnificent F-14 tomcat, but I had a great weekend all together !

Bring in the photos, guys ! I'd like to see more !
Christos, thank you for all the BBQ'ing during the event...
Here we just arrived on Friday and he said : "wanna eat a little something ?" and BBQ'ed enough award winning food for a whole family (where were you guys ??) !
Sorry I don't have any photos myself of the next evening when he cooked for everyone and entertained about the whole camping site at the same time ?...
