Large Skymaster Hawk build

Can anyone explain why this Hawk has a tendency to bounce on landing sometimes. I haven't figured out if it is c.g. related, letting the nose drop too much on landing, too slow on landing, or something else. Anyone else seen this on the hawk. Once it starts it doesn't want to stop.

I received mine about 6 months ago, still putting it together. From what I can tell the cylinders seem smaller than the Robart ones recommended by the BVM. I've got larger ones from another crashed model which are the BVM recommended upgraded ones.
I'm thinking I'll see how it goes after the first flight if the doors don't stay closed I'll do the upgrade which seems relatively straight forward.

You may also want to check your wing incidence as it might be too "positive".When you look your model from the sides the wing should be parallel to the ground.
Check the oleo legs .If your mains are empty for whatever reason, then your nose leg holds your wing at positive incidence and cause it to bounce.
I never had a bounce landing with the Hawk.

Hi friends,
i have one very important question for me, what of fuel tank are you using? Are you using standart (from SkyMaster) one?
I just megured mine it's 3,75 lit and I'm worried it's not enough for K-160g (fuel consumption is 490 g/min), about 6-7 min of flight max to empty (I prefer to have in remaining 0,5-0,7 lit after landing in case of go-around).
Kind regards,
Sergey

Heard from Skymaster. My Hawk should be ready to ship at the end of next month. I do have a couple questions.
1. Have the rams been improved over the orginal ones?
2. Are the flap hinges preinstalled? It used to be on option. It's still listed on the BVM site but not on Skymaster's. I talked to me GJC rep and he thinks they might be installed at the factory now.
Looking forward to getting started on it!

Hi to all,
there is my progress to build the simple ARF more scale
Will repaint Hawk partly, there a lot of mistakes with library around model. On my opinion - to have more scale model is better to by unpainted.
Kind regards,
Sergey

Hi friends,
there is my progress to bring stock model to more scale, almost works with airframe have done. The next stage is to operate with wings, then to repaint according to prototype paint scheme (the blue color is too dark, lots of mistake with line configuration....).
Kind regards,
Sergey

Hi Craig,
almost scale details are made from "rubbish"
Antenna:
Some composite sheet, wood spar, glue, body primer
EPU exaust:
Same composit technology, plus pies of Cola can for turbine wheel
Hot Air Pipe
Tail NAV light:
The reverts is glue drops, then body primer. The clear lens - hott wacuum forming.
" Fire extinguishers windows"
Composite technology around 20ml syringe
Drain tube:
Kind regards,
Sergey

Zdravstvuj Tovarishch Sergey, you are doing inspirational job, that's what I call modeling! Hope it will fly just as good as it will look! Here comes my Hawky with 3.5kg of lipos giving me humble 3 minutes of flight time. Pretty thirsty at one kilo a minute! Cheers.

Thanks friends,
There is last point in fuse scale work- parachute dor imitation before repaint. Hope she will look better then now
After all of modeling she got about 60gr + another 150gr max repaint = 210-250gr - not so critical (hope so).
Also hope she will fly good (l'm dreaming about that).
Kind regards,
Sergey

Joseph, your Hawk looks nice, like sport jet.
Whose production CARF ore Extrime SkyMaster?
What for you have add a winglets?
Why not to use turbine? I think it be cheaper at all...
Kind regards,
Sergey

Friends,
I'll be very appriciate if somebody know the part number of blue color on prototype paint scheme.
One friend of mine told me "BS 381C 110 Roundel blue", but I'm not agree with him, the Roundel Blue looks too dark.
Kind regards,
Sergey

Hi Serg, it is great value kit by N-Tech Jets, cost me only $495- Aust. pretty heavy at 11+kg for E-power so my wing tip mod made a huge difference, I prefer the look of it now with 80 inch span. Just plug it in and off you go, much easier than carrying all the turbine gears. Cheers, and good luck with your great build.

Nice flying Fabrice! Great landing too.....that's how it should be done. What engine you running in yours? Are you running crow on the ailerons for landing or just flaps?

Hi Fabrice,
Nice bird and very nice flight!
What setup did you use for her?
What empty and All up weight?
Did you use stock air cilinders for doors or changed?
Kind regards,
Sergey
