Hey mark
I think I would be expanding the garage for sure. Now is the time to by a pick up truck. Also, we( the jet and rc comunitty) have rebuilt alot of jets that van is NO Problem.
Glad no one was hurt and you did not have any jets inside or did you? Sure you don't have a wrecked one laying around LOL

Trees got sick and tired of cars always parking on their toes and one of em apparentely decided to take it out on your car... Don't mess with the trees ! ;-)
Good thing nobody got hurt and no models inside.
Hope you get a good deal from the insurance !

i'd be lookin at the other tree next to it to see how well it's rooted....they look to be about the same age.
I'll be cutting it down soon.
Make your own pick up truck, the front looks ok!

Damn Mark...that sucks! I hope you're able to make lemonade. Is that McKinley school? I know exactly what street you live on, which makes me LOL. You're just a stone's throw from Iggy's pizza....if they're still open.

Those trees made it nice to sit on the front porch in the summer... cool shade. Now my air conditioning bill will take a jump.

OK Tell the truth. You backed into the tree and started to pull away and it fell on your car. This is the story I would stick with. This way the auto insurance will pick it up. The other way 'act of god' you're screwed. Hope I'm wrong but we had a wall fall on our car and this is what the insurance people told us. Man one car on the street and it has to find your car. Those darn trees are evil. Sorry to see that Mark. [&o]

Terry,
My homeowner's insurance says it's an act of nature. My car insurance (comprehensive) will cover it. They're sending a mechanic see if can be fixed
The only problem is it's old and not worth much as far as book value.[&o]
I'm looking for another ManVan. That was my second one and they make THE best aircraft haulers. Had a truck and it was a pain to get at all the stuff.
Funny I never had a van until my kids were gone

A MANvan. OK like Patton Manning said "At least tell me it's going to be a Turbo Van". I always liked my caravans for hauling the planes around. My Crewcab pickup works pretty good also. But my all time favorite plane hauler was my Estate Wagons. Nothing could beat them for hauling stuff. My wife hated them because of the wood grain sides. But when she had to haul all her lady friends to the shopping malls she always took my wagon. [>:]

I went the minivan route for several years, they do make great plane haulers. I now have a suburban, it has much more room for planes. Right now, you could buy one cheap.

The brand new (2006) hauler, Chevy Uplander:
About 7 1/2 ft of length with the seats folded down and 8 ft with them out.

It's hard to look cool in a minivan but they make great haulers.

With my luck, the chicks will probably be pushing baby strollers.

Here's the ultimate manvan/chick magnet . If the chicks don't jump right in, just show em the rear
end, spool it up and watch em rolling down the street in your rear view mirror

RE: Bad Day - Need New Aircraft Hauler
I bought a 96 Grand Caravan when my first son was born and it eventually turned into the airplane van which meant I stopped unloading it of airplanes unless I had to but it started to stink of glow and gas. Bought another one in 2006 and the wife didn't want me to stink that one up so I got a 6 X 10 trailer. The caravan has been pulling that around for three years with no problem. When I need to go buy some 4 X 8 sheetgoods, I know they'll fit in the van. Try doing that with a pickup. The van is my daily driver. When my testosterone level has dropped too low from driving the van, I pull the Shelby out of the garage and take a drive. Gets it right back up there.
