Had a good day at Wroughton yesterday, was windy but straight up the runway and was a quite turbulent at times . . . alot of flying was done despite this. Geoff White gave his Airworld Hawk an airing, John Sanders flew his Jetlegend L39 now with Simjet power . . . he also flew with a small 'key fob' type video camera attached to the underside with excellent results, Youtube video will follow shortly. Dick Spreadbury was flying his trusty Velox and i had my Bobcat and 'Kamco Kajet-1' with troublesome Wren power.

Has taken me a while to get around to doing this, but i have now uploaded a video to Youtube taken in early April. It was a small 'key fob' type camera bought on ebay for $12, it was fitted to John Sanders L39. We were amazed at how clear the video was! unfortunately the quality of the video is reduced by Youtube but the original video was so clear! and there was no issue with it stopping/turning itself off like the flycamone's. It uses a Micro SD card, and you can take the file from the card with the appropriate reader or plug a USB cable straight into the camera . . . . was very impressed so have ordered a batch for a group of club members and myself. You can see where the camera was attached in the pictures, the small black box on the underside directly beneath the rear cockpit.

When i uploaded last night, it had a tag stating that quality will improve once complete. Was not very clear and i did not think that it would improve that much . . . . i was wrong! we have ours winging their way to us! I am working on CJ42 and Honington videos that should be up sometime tonight, not onboard footage but some i took with my video camera. Have just got back from Westonzoyland, i was desperate for a flight . . . had one flight and that was enough! wind was very strong but the Nano handled it well though, trying to land it did not want to come down!
Looking forward to seeing both of these new models flying! onboard footage would be great!
Dick,
Just one final big push for Merryfield, Foxjetski needs to be there!

Spent an enjoyable day at Wroughton as a guest of Geoff, I was looking forward to some more flying on the Tutor and took my CARF Hawk and Habu as back up. The weather was typical Wrtn (mixed) dark then light skies and various winds!
Either way plenty of flying was had, although I was limited to one flight with the Tutor before letting Geoff have a flight! I was taking photos but missed something hitting the canopy as on one pass it's all good and when it comes back the main glass it smashed! We didn't notice till landing time...I won't mention the scraped tip Geoff ;-)
Steve Prideaux was there with his Composite SB powered by my P120SX! Seemed to be going well, John Sanders had his JL L-39 and we had the place to ourselves! Strange day of U/C problems with everyone inc my Hawk (forgot to air and then to cycle!) Geoff's SB with a sticky valve and JS with a stuck gear door! Good job Steve P had no problems or we would have looked a right bunch of turkeys!!
Great day anyway and we still managed plenty of flying

That'll teach you to trust one of your expensive planes to that Geoff bloke. I'm surprised it was only a wingtip that got scraped! Shame i couldn't make it.

RE: Wroughton 2010
Now now Dave, you promised not to mention my wing tip scrape if I didn't mention you doing exactly the same thing with your hawk
I think the issue was caused by the adverse drag caused by the big hole in the fuselage where the canopy glass used to be.
Anyway, the model fly very well, I thought it was a bit pitchy for me but thats just personal taste. What surprised me was the amount of power you need to carry but after speaking to Dave and discussing the thick wing and bulbous fuselage it really shouldn't be. I think once more people see it fly in person the orders will come flooding in(not that they aren't already).
Oh and Andy despite you taking the piss, I am sorry to hear about the incident with the Hawk.
Geoff.

Geoff
I know I know ;-) but mine was not actually a tip scrape, it was the leg gear door hitting! The tip was scraped later [] with the brain fart and air.
Rob....you Futba people are so bitter ours is better

Geoff,
Admit it - you like having the piss taken. Actually I know you expect it and God knows you extract enough from others!! Thanks for your kind words ref my Hawk - replacement should be ready in a few days! Sounds like you boys had some fun which I am sad to have missed.
