No i'm not painting it, i want it to look like the pictures and if i do it, it will look nothing like it.
Yes i have used savox servos before, they have been great and at a good price to. They come with some nice servo arms as well

RE: Jetlegend Mig 29 Fulcrum
Well my Mig has landed! and I have got to say it looks great! well worth the wait! [>:] It looks really well made to me, I dont really see any need to beef up the back end! I think the only way it could fail is if its been stored or transported on bar or stands so i have put a bit of carbon cloth on the base/side as i will have it on stands from time to time! it does'nt look pretty but its super solid now!
It looks like it should be a fast build with the gear and doors being fitted already! and the way they have engineered the nose leg is very impressive! a lot of thought has gone into building this kit!
It looks like the nose steering mechanism as changed slightly ! just a case of putting the two pins in the servo arm!
really pleased with it!

RE: Jetlegend Mig 29 Fulcrum
Hi John , I might bring it to taxi about and get a few things looked at that I am unsure about ! But until my receiver turns up (that is probably on its 3 rd trip around the world) I am grounded ! The colour scheme screams for smoke !! It didn't really need testing!! Just a big kid !it hung in my neighbours garden for ages!! [>:]Looking forward to flying it ! I think that I might put some AB and landing lights on it! Just hope I am not adding too much weight to it !!

Just had a phone call from Jamie, looks like snow has stopped play for tomorrow.
Yeah 4 totally different schemes, shame we can't have all 4 in the air at the same time. I might and see if i can have mine ready for the meeting in two weeks time, if its not ready it definitly will be ready for the one after that.

RE: Jetlegend Mig 29 Fulcrum
Ian or anyone else for that matter,
i have been installing my engine and pipe today and have found that i have quite a bit of down thrust on the pipe, is this normal for the mig?
I have the pipe mounted under the rails as in Ian's picture above.
Cheers

Hi Carl, mine are fixed on top of the engine bearers, and indeed the lugs could not fit underneath. I had to raise the engine by the thicknes of the rails to line the engine up. I think that the lugs may have been changed on later versions. Mine flies perfectly and there is no thrust couple observed.

RE: Jetlegend Mig 29 Fulcrum
Hi Carl, I had to lower the back of the engine mounting rail so that it was held under the rear aluminum mounting brackets. This way it lined up with the exhaust. By the way, the stand your Mig is sitting on is the same as how I used to store mine which resulted in stress lines after a year or so. The strengthening that Ian has done looks a good idea to me.
