As long as you can keep thrust at 36 lbs or less, it would handle fine, but I recommend that you replace the pipe when it reaches 75 flights or more or when you have a few hot starts. The bifurcating center area seem to develop leaks or voids overtime. That's the area of frequent inspection. I had it happened to my F-15s a couple of times but that's after 100 + flights each. Since they share similar metals and constructions and from the same source. I had head shield right above the joint so the hot gas won't melt the fuselage.

I see by reading this thread that the recommended cg for the mig-29 is nose heavy. So anywhere from the fwd wing spar to fwd fuse brace will work fine I'm assuming. What set up do you guys feel works best in regards to control surfaces. Ailerons only or ailerons with tailerons? I could not find any information on control throws either.

I had ailerons only, and worked perfectly, I found with the tanks so far ahead of the CG, as the tanks emptied I had to feed in down trim. did not use gyros, probably would have helped if I did
