We'll post some pictures this evening. The weather couldn't be better. 78F / Arizona sun / winds 0-3 knots........and straight down the runway. Buck's F-4 is flying more that the Boomers. Rumor has it Dan's F-100 will be in the air today. As usual, Debbie and Clay are putting on a "Number One". Event. The wife's began their "Club Action" Thursday evening and four new wife's were "sworn in" the same night. Their having more fun than the pilots...........Don't tell anyone, but "Queta" has some joke memory.

RE: Tucson Jet Rally
Buck's too humble to tell everyone that his F-4 won the "Best Scale" award, so I will.........Once again thanks to Debbie and Clay for one GREAT and fun event. All pilots, and "their significant others", (YUP, I can still be politically correct) can hardly wait for 2011 . YA-Hoo.............Bucks Phantom:

Just back to Escondido from Tucson jets. The event was great as usual, the ride home was very exciting, truck lurched 10 minutes into the trip home and I watched the "check engine" light for the next 8 hours, wind to 25+, torrential rain, fog, temp down to 37 over Laguna, snow plows on the side of the road ready to go, and oh yes, we stopped 15 minutes from home for dinner, when I started the truck the "check engine" light did not come on. Just one of those things to get your attention.
Thanks to Debbie and Clay for the great event and hospitality, Dan and Colleen (Pat told me how to spell and I hope it is correct), Jim and Karen, it is always great to see you once per year, Terry for picking up after me and making sure I did not leave anything at the field, George for the great picture of Pat and R/C and all of our other great friends that were in Tucson. It is truly an event not to miss. In fact it is like a family reunion without the family issues.
Already looking forward to next year, Great job to everyone.

Reguarding the Dave Reynolds Harrier. His feeling is that ALL edf jets should have retracts. He uses the small Robart gear and the Waypoint retract servos with small flex cable snaked to where it's needed. The wing tip gear are the small GWS units. Works very well.
His E-flite airliner has retracts. The flight Saturday reached 1176 feet (Eagle Tree) above ground level. He likes to get the plane up high and fly it in straight lines pretending that it is a real airliner on route to where ever. At his cruse altitude it truely looks real. All he is missing is contrails.
