Well done Mark. Thought you might be first to fly the F-14 in the UK. I'm about 1 month away from getting mine in the air.
Any recommended changes you have made, control throws and CofG position? Did you mix in the wing spoilers for roll?

Mark,
That was sweet. You even swept the wings the first time out; U Da Man!
I have the Bounty Hunter and the same engines
I will PM you for pointers. Also, if we have not already talked, if you want the unlimted wing sweep, let me know: http://vimeo.com/7506857
Thank you, Sir.

RE: FEJ F-14 Maiden in the UK
Hello all. Ok I have had to take a new account on RCU as my old one would not let me access. Due to change of email I think. My old user name was Hammer Mark. Thank for the interest shown in the Flyeagle F14. It is now a very good aircraft flies well and has nearly 1 hour flying time on the air frame. The kit was picked up in Germany from Jets unlimited back in Sept last year at Jetpower. We spoke to FEJ and they sorted us some extra alloy spars so I could Work with what we had in the kit. After some 250 hours and much coffee she was ready to fly in Dec But as you all know bad weather put pay to that. The F14 weighs just over 20kg so we have to apply to the CAA for flight approval this was All done and the film you see is actually the third flight. The engines are 2x genuine original G Boosters 160+ not Evo Boosters. These had the power set to 120000 rpm. The fuel load lasts for around 8mins flight. I have on board all power box batteries and equipment. 2x 14mz Futaba 2.4 Ghz through the RRS powerbox. I only use 1 air valve to operate all the gear and gear doors and another on the air brakes and wheel brakes. This saves a lot of weight. Even the pilots are filled with bubble wrap and only uses the hands and heads supplied. This weekend another series of flights were made it is very reliable. She is a dream to fly. The swing wing was built so I can do multi swings in flight and can be stopped at any angle and at any time I have no mixing as the CofG is correct. So there you have it hoping for many more flights. Off now to start another project and to finish another. I would like to thank my sponsors and all the people who help me both in keeping me supplied with the best equipment and help at the field also. Regards. Mark Hinton Flies for Booster engines. I know you're planning to bring another stunner to fly at CJ Mark, but there's plenty of us who want to see the F-14 - even if it doesn't fly - so make sure you put it in the van mate!
Cheers,
Dick

The G Boosters are easy to get out, four screws hold the tail pipe and four on each turkey feathers , take out the Cool pipe and the motor comes out from the back .
There are no hatches underneath.

It really is a pretty slick set up to get the turbines out. The fuel tanks are kind of a pain though once you get everything together.
When you were talking about the spars . Where exactly did you put them?

The spars are the aluminum parts in the red Rectangle:

Mark, great job on the Kitty! You made it look easy (although after all of our phone calls, I know it wasn't!!). The offer still stands for you to come out here to the states anytime. Keep up the great work.

Sweet looking jet. That mechanism is wild looking. Now that you have one flying your part of an elete few that do. How about seeing more fly here i the good ole USA? Anyone flying one now?
