....A Banshee with 2 P-20s????

Yep.....1/6 scale would it would be an 83 inch wingspan, 96 inch length or so?

Simple retracts and plenty of powerplants to pick from, new and used (I would go with 2 P-60s but what the heck).

And it would fly great.

I went to the Udvar-Hazy Museum at Washington-Dulles a few years back. The prototype F-35 is there. I got interested in the airplane, but I figured that it would be best to wait until the final configuration was set and the production was started.

As a model, I like the single engine configuration and it has lots of wing. I'll bet the engine could be mounted in the tail with no tail pipe needed.......

Tailwinds,

John

I said that the "Blue Angel" scheme is ugly. The only time i need therapy, is when i look at the "Blue Angel" scheme;-) It totally ruin every plane that has this scheme! Even the "Fantasy" scheme from C-ARF looks better, and that says a lot!

The paint scheme, to me at least, is all about proportion, no matter what it is. The F35 could look good in the Birds scheme, that one doesn't. Giant red beak with a too thin line of blue behind it. The stripes are too thin on the wings and stab - and the tails - wow - that's just wrong. But get everything in the correct relation to one another and the airframe and I think it could be a killer scheme on that jet. I'm a Blue's guy, sorry Bob, actually no, I'm not. There are plenty of airframes that either scheme work great on - just pay attention to proportion. I've seen plenty of Blue's colors on all kinds of jets and it just kills me to see what would be a great job, ruined by a gigantic number 5 on the tail that seems to have been put there because it was handy at the time, with no attention to scale.

My 2 cents,
Dan

Bob, Is it the scheme or just the colors that bother you???

I think we have to wait until the Canadians or the Dutch have the F35 if they ever will. Then there will be nice colorschemes.
Based on previus efforts of course.
